Biomedica Therapy and Wellness is seeking dedicated and skilled Clinical Mental Health Counselors to join our team in a full-time capacity. This remote position within our community health clinic allows you to work flexibly while making a significant difference in the lives of individuals dealing with various mental health challenges. Our annual salary range for this position is USD 90,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

We focus on a range of mental health conditions, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and substance abuse, utilizing a patient-centered approach to treatment.

Our work setting is entirely remote, designed to offer you flexibility while ensuring that we maintain robust connections with our patients through virtual interactions. You'll be part of a collaborative community that prioritizes the well-being of both staff and clients, utilizing advanced telehealth technologies to deliver care effectively and compassionately. Working Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, you will find some flexibility in scheduling to meet patient needs.

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to evaluate patients’ needs and create individualized treatment plans that promote resilience and recovery.
• Utilize a variety of evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and solution-focused therapy during individual, couples, and family sessions.
• Lead psychoeducational workshops and support groups tailored to address common mental health issues, fostering a sense of community among participants.
• Collaborate with licensed psychiatrists and clinical psychologists to provide integrated care that addresses all aspects of a patient's treatment.
• Respond effectively to crisis situations with appropriate intervention strategies, ensuring patient safety and emotional well-being.
• Educate clients about mental health conditions, available treatment options, and community resources, empowering them to take an active role in their recovery.
• Maintain precise and confidential documentation of patient interactions and treatment plans in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Engage actively in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development opportunities to continually improve your skills and knowledge base.
• Remain informed about current research, trends, and best practices in mental health to enhance the quality of care provided.

You will work with a diverse population of clients ranging from adolescents to adults, each facing unique mental health challenges. Our goal is to foster an inclusive environment that respects and embraces individual differences, ensuring tailored therapeutic approaches for each client based on their specific situation and diagnosis.

• Possession of a Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Active and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.
• Demonstrated expertise in mental health disorders and proficiency in delivering evidence-based treatment modalities.
• Ability to perform comprehensive mental health assessments and develop effective, individualized treatment strategies.
• Experience in providing therapy to individuals and groups from various backgrounds.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster meaningful connections with patients.
• Commitment to maintaining ethical standards and professionalism in all interactions.
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant technologies to document care accurately.
• A collaborative mindset that emphasizes teamwork in multidisciplinary settings.

• Experience in a community-based mental health setting is highly valued.
• Familiarity with telehealth practices and virtual therapy modalities.
• Previous work with specific populations such as youth, families, or substance abuse cases.
