Job description

About the Role
As a Senior Design Engineer at Ravenna, you will work at the intersection of interaction design, systems thinking, and front-end engineering. You will move between designing flows, prototyping with real data, implementing components, and improving internal tools, tokens, and documentation.
Your work will shape how users experience AI-powered internal support. You will be a design partner, a systems thinker, a high-impact engineer, and a steady advocate for product quality.
We value principled UX, strong AI capabilities, and simplicity. If that resonates, you will be at home here.
What You'll Do
Design and Build Better User Experiences
  • Lead the creation and evolution of Ravenna's cross-platform design system across design tools and front-end code
  • Design and prototype product flows that simplify complex tasks and make AI automation intuitive
  • Build polished, accessible, responsive UI with strong interaction and motion
Shape the Design System and Front-End Architecture
  • Maintain reusable components, design tokens, and documentation for fast, consistent shipping
  • Partner with engineers to define clean, predictable component APIs that scale
Create and Validate Product Ideas
  • Use Figma, browser prototypes, and AI tools to explore ideas and test assumptions
  • Turn early concepts into structured flows, prototypes, and production-ready interfaces
Collaborate Across the Company
  • Work with product, AI, and engineering teams to clarify problems and unify experiences
  • Provide design critique, technical feedback, and mentorship
  • Contribute to long-term product vision and UX strategy
Raise the Quality Bar
  • Champion accessibility, usability, and clarity
  • Identify and fix UX issues without waiting for permission
  • Build tools and workflows that shorten the path from idea to shipped product
What You Bring
  • 5+ years in product design, UI engineering, or design engineering
  • Strong fluency with Figma and modern UX/UI principles
  • Experience contributing to or maintaining a design system
  • Strong visual design and a sharp eye for layout and motion
  • Appreciation for documentation, critique, and collaboration
  • Clear communication and cross-functional partnership

High ownership, curiosity, and a desire to move quickly without losing quality
