Location: Montreal, Canada

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Flight-Operations Systems Engineer to support the design, integration, and operation of advanced satellite systems. In this role, you will contribute to flight operations, satellite automation, and ground segment integration for Low Earth Orbit (LEO) and Medium Earth Orbit (MEO) satellite missions. The ideal candidate has a strong background in satellite operations, flight software, and systems engineering, with experience supporting mission-critical space programs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the design, integration, and operation of satellite flight systems.
  • Develop and enhance automated satellite operations and operational workflows.
  • Contribute to space and ground segment design, specification, and system integration.
  • Support flight software integration and its role in satellite operations.
  • Work with satellite databases, telemetry structures, and operational data systems.
  • Develop automation tools and scripts using Python or other scripting languages.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure mission success.
  • Participate in system testing, validation, and operational readiness activities.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
  • 7+ years of relevant engineering experience.
  • Experience supporting LEO and/or MEO satellite operations (SatOps).
  • Experience with automated satellite operations and IoT technologies.
  • Strong understanding of:
    • Space and ground segment design, specification, and integration
    • Flight software and its role in satellite operations
    • Satellite database operations
    • Telemetry structures and operational concepts
  • Experience with Python or other scripting languages.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting end-to-end satellite mission operations.
  • Knowledge of satellite command and control systems.
  • Experience working in commercial or government space programs.
  • Familiarity with systems engineering best practices for space missions.
