Location: Remote (100% Onsite after onboarding)

We are seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Design Engineer to join the Vehicle Packaging team in developing world-class designs for high-volume automation equipment. This role involves design, optimization, prototyping, and validation of innovative solutions to deliver components safely and efficiently throughout supply chain and manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver technical designs optimized for weight, precision, durability, and manufacturability
  • Perform CAD, FEA, and durability simulations; recommend prototypes and execute testing
  • Conduct design reviews and ensure compliance with standards (ASTM, ISTA, etc.)
  • Deliver finished designs, drawings, and specifications for supplier bidding and compliance
  • Research and implement new materials and techniques to improve packaging capability
  • Partner with engineering teams in design, manufacturing, and material flow projects

Required Skills & Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
  • 5+ years of mechanical design experience from concept through production validation
  • Strong plastics design/manufacturing expertise
  • Proficiency with CAD/CAE tools (CATIA, Pro-Engineer, ANSYS)
  • Knowledge of GD&T, tolerance stack-up analysis, and design for manufacturing (DFM)
  • Familiarity with multiple manufacturing processes (injection molding, machining, welding)
  • Experience with reliability design, durability testing, and automation equipment
