Falcon Heating Air Conditioning, Inc is a privately owned, established HVAC and plumbing company of 37 years with rapid expansion, and advanced career path opportunities. We are looking for a Delivery Driver.


Job Description

The Delivery Driver II transports parts, goods, and other merchandise from one location to another and assists in the warehouse.


Essential Functions

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  • Plan and complete an efficient delivery and pick up route for the day
  • Load delivery vehicle with equipment scheduled for delivery
  • Deliver supplies to correct addresses, Obtain signatures and proof of receipt when necessary
  • Pick up supplies along the scheduled route, including items to be returned, company orders, and other items as requested
  • Maintain basic records of truck mileage and deliveries made
  • Ensure the delivery vehicle receives basic service according to maintenance schedule; Report larger service needs and mechanical issues to supervisor
  • Follow company and industry safety guidelines and regulations
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

  • Strong ability to drive safely
  • Ability to use navigation tools such as onboard GPS, smartphone apps, and/or web-based or physical maps
  • Strong ability to plan efficient delivery routes
  • Strong ability to carry out a series of instructions without constant supervision

Work Environment

This job operates in a field setting. This role routinely uses standard box trucks, dollies and forklifts.


Physical Demands

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

This is a role that requires a lot of driving, stooping, bending, and lifting (up to 75 pounds at times, occasionally more). It requires the ability to load and unload equipment with and without dollies. While conducting field visits, there may be exposure to different climates (hot, humid, cold, drafty) and noises.


Position Type & Expected Hours of Work

Days and hours are Monday through Friday, between 6 a.m. to 4 pm, based on the needs of the business, as a completion of daily tasks are required prior to leaving for the day.


Travel

Travel is required from the warehouse to job sites with a company vehicle.


Required Education and Experience

  • Valid driving license
  • Excellent driving record

Being able to pass DOT physical.
