Job description

About the role:

As a Manager - AI Architecture, you will lead an international team of data engineers. This team will develop and operate the data pipelines, data architecture/data fabric, and core data services embedded into Westinghouse digital solutions.

You will work with Westinghouse leaders to understand business and product needs to support themes such as Asset Management, Work Management, and Business Process Optimization. Identify critical skill needs and address gaps to ensure the necessary skills are available to help develop scalable digital solutions.

You will report to the Director, AI Data Infrastructure and work remotely.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Engage with the Digital and Innovation (D&I) leaders to promote the D&I vision. This vision is to guide global Westinghouse and industry modernization. To achieve this, provide input and build the digital roadmap. This roadmap will improve the position of Westinghouse and our customers relative to safety, profitable growth, and process efficiency.
  • Assume responsibility for the success of the enterprise data platform, data engineering delivery, and AI architecture ensuring Westinghouse digital solutions.
  • Lead the data engineering and AI architecture team in establishing the data architecture and data fabric. Establish integration patterns and platform services to promote the use of industry data across multiple use cases. These efforts help deploy AI-enabled capabilities embedded in digital solutions to address customer needs.
  • Mentor team members responsible for cloud architecture and infrastructure; establish best practices for cloud platforms, security, availability, cost management, and operational support according to Westinghouse Information Technology.
  • Develop team member critical skills such as:
  • Data architecture, data modeling, and governance
  • Data ingestion, transformation, and quality (ETL/ELT)
  • Data integration, master data, and data interoperability
Qualifications:
  • Technical knowledge of data engineering, data management, data architecture, cloud platforms/infrastructure, and AI/ML architecture (including MLOps) to ensure scalable digital solutions
  • B.S. degree in business management, computer science, data science, industrial engineering, statistics or equivalent
  • Master's Degree in Business Administration helpful
  • 10+ years of experience in business, operations or consultation services with progression
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate (Preferred)
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Database Administrator Associate (Preferred)

We are committed to transparency and equity in all of our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $130,400 to $163,000 per year.
