Job description

We are hiring anEnterpriseArchitect II on our Strategy and Architecture team at BCBST!

In this role, you will play a critical part in shaping the technical and business process roadmap for the foundational technologies powering our GenAI expansion. You'll operate as a technical product owner for our Microsoft ecosystem-including M365, Foundry, and Power Platform-guiding how teams design, build, and scale AI-driven solutions. A key focus will be enabling ourAI activation effortsby standing up the platforms, defining guardrails, and evolving the ecosystem to ensure what teams build is secure, sustainable, and production-ready. Day to day, you'll collaborate across architecture, engineering, and business teams to mature our GenAI capabilities, influence long-term platform strategy, and ensure alignment between emerging AI technologies andenterpriseneeds.

To be successful in this role, in addition to the core job requirements, you'll bring strong experience operating as both an architect and technical product owner within the Microsoft ecosystem. You will be a strong candidate if you have deep expertise in Azure, M365, and Foundry, along with hands-on experience working with GenAI technologies, large language models (LLMs), and frontier model providers such as OpenAI and Anthropic. A robust background inenterprisearchitecture is essential, along with the ability to design scalable, governed solutions. Experience in healthcare is highly preferred.

Job Responsibilities

  • Provide overall direction, guidance, and definition of the EA to support the corporate business strategies.
  • Leading in the implementation of EA strategies and best practices to support business objectives, while focusing on business process design, solutions, information gathering and technology utilization.
  • Providing guidance to enterprise architects on defining technical service capabilities, design attributes, draft enterprise profiles and segment architecture; controlling risks and solving complex issues related to EA.
  • Maintaining relationships with stakeholders, addresses stakeholder requirements and providing clients consultations to shape the future success of EA.
  • Providing EA support by directing teams in baseline, target and roadmap development, transition planning, system and security management and segment architecture.
  • Build and maintain architecture portfolio translating business strategies into IT investments.

Job Qualifications

Education

  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Computer Science or equivalent work experience required. Equivalent years of experience are determined as one year of technical experience for every year of college requested.

Experience

  • 5 years - Experience as an individual contributor leading a team in the design and implementation of one or more of the following: application and integration, data, technology and/or security architecture required.
