Job description

BMA is seeking a Application Database Administrator. This is a fully remote role. 


Job Summary     

BMA is seeking an Application Database Administrator to support the AMPS effort within the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). The Application Database Administrator will provide all activities related to the administration of database schemas and their objects. The Application Database Administrator will be tasked with the following duties: 
•    Designs, creates, and maintains databases schemas in a client/server environment. 
•    Conducts quality control and auditing of database schemas in a client/server environment to ensure accurate and appropriate use of data and permissions. 
•    Advises users on access to various client/server databases. 
•    Designs, implements, and maintains complex database schema objects with respect to user requirements, access methods, access time, device allocation, validation checks, organization, protection and security, documentation, and statistical methods. 
•    Applies knowledge and experience with database technologies, development methodologies, and front-end programming languages (e.g., SQL).
•    Performs database programming and supports systems design.

Clearance Requirements 

There is a Secret Clearance Requirement for this position. 

Required Skills & Certifications    

-    Five (5) years progressive experience of database query languages such as Oracle, PL SQL, 
SQL Server, and MS Access. 
-    At least three years hands-on experience and expertise in Database Schema management 
capability to work on various operating systems and additional programming languages. 
-    Experience in at least two projects in a large organization responsible for administering, operating, 
maintaining, and securing a large-scale computer database.
-    Sensitivity Level: IT-II – Critical Sensitive
-     Clearance: Secret IA Level: IAT II
-     Computing Environment: OCA18 or relevant certification from a nationally recognized 
technical authority.
