As a Senior Engineer on the Transaction Services team, you will meaningfully contribute to the software that churches rely on every day by supporting existing back end features and helping develop new ones.

• Craft code in a way that meets our Tithe.ly coding standards and makes our products and services flexible, stable, and maintainable.

• Take ownership of code to ensure quality and efficiency across the team and organization.

• Build key backend features, integrating with internal and external APIs, end-to-end testing, code reviews and system planning.

• Attack tech debt with a vengeance.

• Offer novel solutions to solve our complex and evolving problems.

• Be Tech Savvy by anticipating and adopting innovations in business-building digital and technology applications. 

• Be a Nimble Learner by actively learning through experimentation when tackling new problems, using both successes and failures as learning fodder.

• Strong proficiency with Python

• Experience with large databases

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Engineering

• 5+ years of experience as a backend software engineer

• Proficient in Django

• We are a fully distributed team (100% remote) with travel required 1-2 times per year.
