Reporting to the Manager, Business Intelligence, the Senior Web Analyst is primarily responsible for measuring the performance of rona.ca and the broader omnichannel ecosystem , and for delivering actionable analyses to optimize digital performance and online conversion. To this end, he or she will also be responsible for developing and maintaining dashboards that enable stakeholders to make informed , data- driven decisions . Leveraging strong analytical skills , the Senior Web Analyst is responsible for collecting , analyzing , and communicating a wide variety of data to identify trends, generate actionable insights, and support strategic decision-making . Using web analytics tools such as Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, and Content Square, he or she will develop recurring and ad hoc reporting solutions that highlight key analytical trends, performance drivers, and opportunities for improvement . He or she will use advanced analytical tools (e.g., SQL, Python/R, cloud platforms, data w arehouses) to consolidate and structure large volumes of data from multiple sources. This data will then be transformed into clear, visual reports that are easy to interpret and designed to enhance understanding of trends and support informed decision-making. The selected candidate must also demonstrate the ability into impactful, actionable insights and present them clearly to digital, marketing and executive leaderships teams. The Role : Develop and implement online conversion optimization strategies based on collected data, with the objective of improving rona.ca performance and increasing conversion rates. Contribute to the experimentation program (A/B testing , multivariate testing ) by identifying test hypotheses and analyzing results . Apply modern analytical approaches to extract , structure, and interpret complex digital data, and design self-service dashboards using visualization tools such as Power BI to make data accessible and actionable . Collaborate with internal teams (marketing, UX, digital, etc.) by providing clear , actionable data and insights to identify opportunities , solve complex problems , and support their strategic decision-making . Partner with the Product team to ensure data quality ( tracking validation) and contribute to defining the analytics vision. Communicate data effectively across all levels of the organization , from operational teams to executive leadership. Guide junior analysts in selecting and using data appropriately , ensuring analytical rigor and quality , challenging their thinking , and supporting them in generating relevant insights. Combine web and in-store data to deliver omnichannel analyses that reflect the full Rona customer journey . Produce key recurring deliverables : monthly e-commerce performance report, digital Weekly Business Review , cohort and attribution analyses. Automate data pipelines and recurring analytical workflows to reduce preparation time and maximize time spent on high-value analysis . The qualifications w e' re l ooking f or : Bachelor’s degree in e-commerce, business intelligence, marketing, or a related field 5 to 8 years of experience in data analysis Experience in a retail or e-commerce environment strongly preferred Strong knowledge and understanding of web analytics platforms (Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics) Experience with complementary tools such as Content Square, Power BI, Tableau, or Looker Proficiency in Python or R for automation, advanced analytics (attribution, predictive segmentation), and data pipeline scripting ( strong asset) Ability to effectively prioritize multiple projects and navigate a fast- paced , evolving environment Well-organized , autonomous , and quick learner Experience mentoring or coaching junior analysts The ability to craft structured data- driven narratives (“data storytelling”) to influence internal stakeholders is essential.
