Role Overview:
Serves as a Senior Technical Expert providing strategic and technical leadership for enterprise data analytics, modernization, and cloud-based solutions. Leads the design, development, integration, and implementation of advanced data solutions leveraging Databricks, Azure Cloud, Power BI, PowerApps, SharePoint, and related technologies. Provides subject matter expertise in data architecture, data migration, analytics, visualization, and business intelligence while collaborating with stakeholders to deliver scalable, secure, and data-driven solutions. Applies industry best practices and emerging technologies to solve complex technical challenges and improve organizational performance.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to developers, analysts, engineers, and project teams.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions to improve data accessibility, reporting capabilities, and operational efficiency.
  • Define and enforce technical standards, best practices, and governance processes for analytics and data management solutions.
  • Participate as an active member of the scrum team, providing input to team velocity and sprint ceremonies, planning, demonstrations and retrospectives.
  • Design and code high quality deliverables adhering to standards and design principles.
  • Produce quality and timely deliverables.
  • Derive insight and understanding from large data sets through data visualization.
  • Build informative reports / dashboards, application of statistical methods, and deep investigation.
  • Support root cause analysis and resolution for complex issues regarding performance, scaling, and custom configuration.
  • Advanced knowledge in using data visualization effectively to tell a story and drive action by presenting information, defining and designing KPI based dashboards / reports that summarize customer insights and highlight "hot spots" for the customer.
  • Work with Data Engineers, Data Architects, and Data Scientists, to define back-end requirements for data products (aggregations, materialized views, tables - visualization).
  • Perform data investigation to discover correlations / trends and the ability to explain them, and collaborate with internal and external customers to develop an analytics portfolio consistent with the vision and goals of our stakeholders.

Required Minimum Qualifications:
  • Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field and ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in data analytics, software development, cloud engineering, business intelligence, or data architecture. An additional eight (8) years of directly related technical experience may substitute for the degree requirement.
  • Advanced experience with Databricks, Azure Cloud Services, Power BI, Power Apps, and SharePoint.
  • Demonstrated expertise in Azure Data Lake, data warehousing, data modeling, and data migration strategies.
  • Advanced SQL programming and database optimization experience.
  • Experience developing enterprise-scale dashboards, KPI frameworks, and executive reporting solutions.
  • Experience leading technical teams and large-scale data modernization initiatives.
  • Experience providing technical direction across multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong understanding of governance, security, performance optimization, and scalability considerations within cloud-based data environments.
  • Knowledge in DataBricks, DataLakes and Data Migration environments
  • Knowledge in SQL programming skills with an understanding of database capabilities.
  • Experience working in Agile development environments.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present technical findings to stakeholders.

The compensation range for this position is $110,000 - 140,000. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to location, skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
In addition, U.S Citizenship is required. Select applicants will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information and be able to obtain a government-granted security clearance. Individuals may also be subject to a background investigation including, but not limited to criminal history, employment and education verification, drug testing, and creditworthiness.
