This full-time position allows you to provide essential psychological support to clients while enjoying the flexibility of a virtual work environment. You will play a pivotal role in enhancing our patients' emotional and mental well-being, allowing them to lead fulfilling lives.

About the Organization

At Prime Psychiatry Counseling Center, we pride ourselves on being a leader in culturally sensitive mental health care, committed to serving diverse populations in Tucson, Arizona, and beyond. Our multidisciplinary team is united by a shared mission of promoting inclusivity and accessibility in mental health services. With a focus on empathy and understanding, we cater specifically to ethnic and cultural minorities, LGBTQ+ individuals, and immigrant communities, ensuring that every client feels heard and valued.

Work Environment

As a remote position, our Licensed Mental Health Therapist will enjoy a flexible work schedule while being supported by a robust infrastructure designed for telehealth. Although you will primarily work from home, you will be part of a cohesive team that collaborates digitally through video meetings and shared platforms, allowing for seamless communication and case management. Our aim is to create a supportive and engaging remote work culture, ensuring that our therapists feel connected and empowered.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct culturally sensitive mental health assessments, engaging with clients to understand their unique backgrounds and experiences while developing tailored treatment plans.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and mindfulness techniques, to provide effective interventions that resonate with clients' cultural contexts.
  • Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions, creating a safe space for clients to discuss their mental health challenges and triumphs.
  • Collaborate with an integrated team of psychiatrists, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure comprehensive service delivery.
  • Deliver immediate crisis intervention services during mental health emergencies, providing the necessary support and guidance to clients in distress.
  • Educate clients and their families about mental health issues, treatment options, and the array of community resources available to enhance their support network.
  • Maintain meticulous and confidential documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards, empowering organizational quality assurance and compliance.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development through participation in team meetings, training sessions, and cultural competency workshops.
  • Stay abreast of current research and best practices in mental health treatment, integrating new findings into your therapeutic practices.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Our center focuses on serving individuals from various backgrounds, particularly those from underrepresented groups. Our clientele includes ethnic and cultural minorities, LGBTQ+ individuals, and immigrants. You will be helping clients navigate their unique mental health journeys, tailoring your therapeutic approach to their individual experiences and cultural narratives. By doing so, you will contribute significantly to their resilience and overall mental health outcomes.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology is required.
  • Active and unrestricted licensure as a Mental Health Counselor in the state of Arizona.
  • A minimum of one year of experience providing mental health services, particularly in diverse cultural settings.
  • Strong commitment to cultural competency and inclusivity in mental health care.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts in accessible terms for clients.
Preferred Experience
  • Prior experience in an outpatient setting, particularly in teletherapy or remote mental health counseling, is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to ensure efficient patient documentation and data management.
  • Experience working with community organizations that support underserved populations.
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of $70,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Our comprehensive benefits package includes:

  • Healthcare benefits, including medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • A retirement savings plan with employer-matching contributions to help you plan for the future.
  • Generous paid time off (PTO), paid holidays, and sick leave to ensure work-life balance.
  • Professional liability insurance coverage.
  • Opportunities for continuing education and professional development, supporting your growth and advancement in the field.
  • A collaborative and inclusive work culture that encourages diversity and teamwork.
