• Conduct comprehensive intake procedures, including biopsychosocial assessments and evaluations to determine the medical necessity of services.
• Formulate and implement individualized treatment plans based on initial assessments, clinical best practices, and client needs.
• Maintain accurate, detailed, and confidential clinical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations, ensuring timely documentation, including progress notes and treatment plan updates.
• Utilize creative therapy tools and methodologies to engage clients effectively, helping them achieve their therapeutic goals while adapting approaches as necessary.
• Coordinate care by collaborating with families and other support networks to enhance client outcomes and provide referrals as needed.
• Regularly participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and supervision to ensure continual professional development and adherence to clinic protocols.
• Maintain active engagement with the appropriate licensing board and work diligently towards full licensure.

The ideal Mental Health Counselor will serve a diverse clientele, including individuals from various backgrounds, couples seeking relationship guidance, and families navigating complex emotional challenges. You will work with clients dealing with conditions such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and more. • A Bachelor's degree in a behavioral health science is required, with preference given to candidates holding a Master's degree in the field.
• Residency in Oregon or willingness to relocate.
• Experience conducting biopsychosocial assessments, developing treatment plans, and maintaining clinical documentation.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, allowing for effective interaction with clients and colleagues.
• Proven ability to establish and maintain appropriate boundaries when working with clients.
• Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage caseloads efficiently.
• A deep commitment to compassion, acceptance, and a non-judgmental approach to client care.

• Familiarity with electronic medical record systems, enhancing administrative efficiency and client data management.
• Experience in a community health or private practice setting, especially with outpatient services.
• Active involvement in community outreach programs or initiatives aimed at destigmatizing mental health.
