The Senior Agile Product Owner in the Middle and Large Business Transformation Office will positively impact Product, Underwriting Excellence, Data, Digital and AI value streams to deliver better outcomes for our shareholders, customers, and employees.They will collaborate closely with internal customers and stakeholders to contribute and deliver on high business value strategic investments and enhancements on the Product Roadmap.

They will collaborate cross functionally with business leaders and experts to define and evolve strategies, prioritize investments and lead agile execution teams spanning change management, actuarial, product, underwriting, operations, architectural, and technology dimensions.They will take a product ownership perspective - using data and insights - to prioritize and drive capabilities with a clear focus on customer and business outcomes.

Responsibilities:
Vision and Roadmap: Articulate, own, and execute on the vision and data roadmap.

Requirements Management: Manage the data backlog, including prioritization of stories to maximize business value. Determine sprint goals and user story acceptance criteria.
Collaboration: Engage with business partners to evaluate product opportunities. Partner with the Scrum Master, Architects, and Tech leads to ensure solutions deliver the business vision.
Execution: Determine sprint goals and user story acceptance criteria.
Guide teams through analysis of risks and issues to inform options.
Monitor execution progress, including identification and escalation of risks, issues, and sources of conflict.
Validate that the solution and built functionality meets the vision.
Ensure the development team understands the items in the backlog and their business value.
Customer Insights and Compliance: Gather and analyze customer and distribution insights to inform underwriting solutions.
Ensure compliance and regulatory risks are considered in all AI initiatives.
Reporting and KPIs: Define product KPIs and manage cadence of outcome reporting.
Support decisions with fact-based data to assist in prioritization and value of work.


Qualifications:
Required 7+ years of Personal Lines or Commercial Insurance Carrier experience in a product management role including developing and managing roadmaps, writing product specifications, and managing agile processes.
Experience with data & analytics products, cloud technologies, data governance, data science, and analytics is required.
A deep understanding of data advancements and their applications in the insurance industry is crucial. This includes the ability to articulate, own, and execute on the vision and data roadmap.
Strong influencing skills and a collaborative partnership approach are required.
Experience reviewing reports and data to identify insights and hypotheses for testing and driving new and enhanced customer experiences
Agile/product owner experience, preferred
Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and developing new features, user stories and processes
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability understand audiences, tailor messages and influence outcomes

This role can have a Hybrid or Remote work schedule. Candidates who live near one of our office locations will have the expectation of working in an office 3 days a week (Tuesday through Thursday).Candidates who do not live near an office will have aremote work schedule, with the expectation of coming into an office as business needs arise.

Compensation

The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
