Responsibilities
Under the guidance of Quality Department leaders, the Quality Regulatory Coordinator manages the quality management/ performance improvement program to achieve organization priority goals and strategic objectives. Ensures all state, federal and commercial payer quality reporting- pay for performance programs comply with reporting requirements and support optimal organization reimbursement. Manages patient safety activities including oversight of the event reporting system. Facilitates the medical staff peer review processes. In addition, coordinates regulatory compliance and accreditation activities. This position may have cross campus responsibilities as needed and at the direction of the Director or VP of Quality.

The compensation range for the role is $68,796-$85,995 annually.
Garnet Health System provides a compensation range to comply with the New York State law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits. When determining a team member's compensation and/or rate, several factors may be considered as applicable (e.g., location, specialty, service line, years of relevant experience, education, credentials, negotiated contracts, budget and internal equity)
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
  • Registered Nurse, currently registered in NYS. Bachelors or Masters preferred.

Minimum Experience:
  • Minimum of three plus years' experience in an acute care facility and experience/ participation in performance improvement activities.
  • Comfort with all Microsoft office programs including outlook, word, and power point.
  • Proficient excel or equivalent program skills including ability to work with large disparate data sets with ease to manipulate data points to inform the organization of progress to goals preferred.
  • Midas experience preferred, must be willing to undergo training to utilize Midas, Epic and if directed by quality department leaders, Peak.

Required Certification/Registration:
  • Registered Nurse with current New York State license in good standing. Certified professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ), status preferred, or obtained within two years of employment date. Experience with process improvement/Lean/Six Sigma methodologies a plus.

Physical Requirements:
  • Walks, stands, sits throughout the day. Manual dexterity for computer work (hand/eye coordination), ability to focus and concentrate for report preparation and analysis of Quality Improvement issues.

Working Conditions:
  • Environmental Demands and Exposure to Hazards: Works in a clean, well-lighted, heated or ventilated facility. No routine exposure to hazards. Frequent contact with hospital providers and staff.
  • Physical Demands: Demonstrates physical and functional ability to perform full anatomical range of motion to accomplish tasks. Evidence of visual and aural acuity and finger and hand dexterity to operate computer and office equipment. Can withstand long periods of sitting, standing and/or constant walking. Ability to lift and carry up to 10 lbs.
  • Mental Demands: Ability to foster collaborative relationships, to work well under pressure, to organize and synthesize new information, and prioritize tasks. Possesses critical thinking, analytical skills and flexibility. Ability to multi-task. Required detailed attention to work in an environment where interruptions cannot be controlled. Demonstrates sensitivity to customer needs and expectations.
