The team partners closely with Data Engineering, Platform Engineering, Product, Governance, and Business teams to translate business requirements into effective data structures and solutions. The team also plays a key role in Snowflake modernization, legacy data warehouse migration, data standardization, and optimization across the enterprise

Job Description

Must Have Skills:
  • Enterprise Data Modeling – Strong experience with conceptual, logical, and physical data modeling, dimensional modeling, 3NF, and data warehouse design.
  • Data Modeling Tools – Hands-on experience with tools such as ERwin, ER/Studio, SAP PowerDesigner, or equivalent for creating, maintaining, and governing enterprise data models.
  • Snowflake Architecture – Strong knowledge of Snowflake data modeling, performance optimization, security, scalability, and migration from legacy platforms.
  • Data Architecture & Governance – Ability to define data architecture standards, naming conventions, metadata, data lineage, data quality, and governance practices.
  • Technical Leadership – Proven ability to lead complex data initiatives, influence architecture decisions, mentor engineers/modelers, and collaborate effectively with business and technology stakeholders

Job Details:

  • Lead the design and implementation of enterprise conceptual, logical, and physical data models using industry-standard data modeling tools (e.g., ERwin, ER/Studio, SAP PowerDesigner, Lucidchart) to support scalable and governed data solutions.
  • Define and enforce enterprise data modeling standards, naming conventions, metadata, and data governance practices to ensure consistency, quality, and maintainability across the organization.
  • Architect and optimize Snowflake data models, including dimensional, normalized, and hybrid schemas, to support high-performance analytics, reporting, and AI/ML workloads.
  • Partner with Data Engineering, Product, Architecture, and Business stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable data models and enterprise data architecture.
  • Lead data architecture for strategic initiatives, including legacy data warehouse modernization and migration to Snowflake, ensuring performance, scalability, security, and cost optimization.
  • Conduct architecture and data model design reviews, mentor engineers and data modelers, and provide technical leadership to ensure adherence to enterprise best practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement by evaluating emerging data modeling methodologies, cloud technologies, and automation capabilities to enhance the organization's data architecture and engineering maturity.

Salary:

Virginia Pay Range: $167,383.91 - $251,075.87
