About the job Programmer / Data Analyst Consultant - Remote What you'll do; Partner with leadership and various cross‐functional teams, including engineering, finance, and product, to identify, define, and track key metrics to be used in monitoring, planning, and one‐off decision‐making. Collaborate with all teams on tools and data access required to support the effective development of reporting and analysis. Clean and transform data from multiple sources as needed for analysis and deliver actionable information.

Develop insightful business intelligence reports (KPIs, metrics), dashboards, scorecards, and/or ad‐hoc analyses that are repeatable and scalable. Take initiative and assume ownership of processes and deliverables. Analyze pricing data from industry standards, previous sales trends and competitors and report data to decision makers. Applying statistical modeling methods to determine the potential impact of pricing strategies on profitability.

Forecasting revenue and market share based on market trends, production costs, profit margins, and sales volumes. Developing dynamic tools to effectively respond to changing market needs and trends. Provide insight on data trends and anomalies, making recommendations where appropriate to improve business performance. Generate and communicate findings to all stakeholders regarding key takeaways and actionable insights.

What you'll bring; 2+ years of relevant work experience in a role requiring the application of data and analytics to business problems. High proficiency using Microsoft Excel, including use of pivot tables, formulas, macros, charts/graphs. Expertise with data manipulation languages, such as SQL. Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Looker or Tableau) and building dashboards. Experience performance tuning of BI queries, data modeling, and data mining from multiple sources.

Strong problem solving and analytical skills to quickly analyze data to identify key insights and translate them into BI reporting and analysis solutions. Excellent written and verbal skills with the ability to present strong data‐driven storylines to both business and technical audiences at all levels of the organization. Ability to manage multiple priorities concurrently, and initiate and drive projects to completion with minimal guidance. Effective listening skills with demonstrated ability to build feedback loops.

Bachelor's Degree in an analytical field (Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics); or equivalent work experience. Bonus If: Possess a habit of checking the accuracy of data and analysis several times over before submitting it for review. Significant expertise and love of financial modeling and setting up automated processes to increase the effectiveness of the team and minimize room for error. Incessantly curious and who love creating insights out of ambiguity.
