The Senior Mapping Analystย is responsible forย the creation, support, and maintenance ofย accurateย and compliant administrative code set(s) mappings for customers using IMOย Healthโs interface terminology. This role focuses on the International Classification of Disease (ICD) and various procedure systems, such as CPT, but also includes work with other common terminology and code sets. The Senior Mapping Analyst contributes to clinical code set mapping projects, supports IMOย Healthย customers and clients with mapping-related inquiries, and serves as a subject matter expert in revenue cycle and health information management across cross-functional projects. Thisย team memberย also provides feedback, training, and mentorship to junior team members.ย
WHAT YOUโLL DO:
- Assign andย maintainย administrative code set mappings (ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT4, HCPCS) for interface terminologyย in accordance withย production and release schedules.ย
- Maintain contentย in accordance withย code set updates and adhere to nationally recognized authoritative coding guidelines.ย ย
- Support product release schedules, including resolving identified mapping issues.ย
- Demonstrate advancedย proficiencyย inย initialย mapping and QA processes across multiple code sets.ย
- Identifyย potential areas for map improvement and manage complex customer inquiries and related calls.ย
- Participate in tool testing and support complex release-related tasks.ย ย
- Provide mentorship and support to developing team members.ย
- Develop clear editorial content withย appropriate examplesย and manage the editorial process.ย
- Act as a subject matter expert on revenue cycle and health information management matters on cross-functional team across IMO Health.ย ย
WHAT YOUโLL NEED:
- Extensive experience with US-based code sets: ICD-10-CM/PCS, ICD-9-CM, CPT, and HCPCSย required.ย
- One of the following credentialsย required: RHIA, RHIT, CCS, or CPC.ย ย ย
- Associate or bachelor's degree in health information management systems or equivalent experience preferred.ย ย ย
- A minimum of five yearsโ experience with medical records coding, electronic health records and medical terminologyย required.ย
- Experience with working claims edits and payor denials preferred.ย ย
- Recent experience coding in outpatient surgery and procedures strongly preferred.
- Strong conceptual and critical thinking skills with the ability to develop structured solutions aligned to business needs and mapping standards.ย
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and lead through influence across teams.ย
Compensation at IMO Health is determined by job level, role requirements, and each candidateโs experience, skills, and location.
