As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Divine Mercy Behavioral Health Center, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Advocating for clients by helping them access essential community resources, social services, and support systems that promote their emotional and social well-being.
• Providing immediate crisis intervention and mental health support to clients, ensuring their safety and stability during challenging situations.
• Maintaining detailed and confidential client records, including progress notes and treatment plans, in accordance with legal and ethical standards to support accurate clinical assessments.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, psychologists, and nurses, to deliver coordinated and holistic care, enhancing treatment efficacy.
• Educating clients on coping strategies, effective communication techniques, and self-care practices to empower them in managing their mental health independently.
• Participating in community outreach initiatives aimed at building partnerships and increasing referral opportunities to strengthen our support network.

The clients you will serve predominantly include adults experiencing a range of emotional and psychological challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and grief. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A current Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) credential in the state of Illinois.
• A Master's Degree in Social Work (MSW) or a closely related field.
• A minimum of four years of relevant social work experience, particularly in outpatient mental health settings.

While not mandatory, the following experiences are preferred:

• Previous exposure to hospice settings or experience dealing with grief and bereavement issues.
