We are currently seeking a Software Development Specialist to join our team in Montreal, Quebec (CA-QC), Canada (CA).

Job Description – Full Stack Developer (Hybrid, Montreal)

We are seeking a Frontend-focused Full Stack Developer with strong expertise in Angular, TypeScript, JavaScript, HTML5, and modern UI development, combined with solid DevOps and application deployment experience. The ideal candidate should be highly proficient in frontend architecture, CI/CD, deployment automation, and application support within enterprise environments. While knowledge of Java, Spring Framework, and Tomcat is required, deep backend development expertise is not mandatory; candidates with moderate Java experience and stronger frontend and DevOps skills are preferred.

 

Day to Day Job Duties:

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise web applications using modern frontend and backend technologies.
  • Develop responsive user interfaces using HTML5, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Angular.
  • Build and support backend services, APIs, and business logic using Java and Spring Framework.
  • Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot applications running on Apache Tomcat environments.
  • Collaborate with business analysts, architects, QA teams, and other developers to deliver high-quality software solutions.
  • Participate in application design discussions, code reviews, and Agile development ceremonies.
  • Perform application support and troubleshooting activities using Unix/Linux command-line tools.
  • Optimize application performance, reliability, security, and scalability.
  • Contribute to software release planning, testing, deployment, and production support activities.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5+ years of Frontend Development experience with HTML5, JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular (Mandatory)
  • Minimum 5+ years of Backend Development experience with Java, Spring Framework, Apache Tomcat (Preferred)
  • Working knowledge of Unix/Linux operating systems, DevOps deployments, including executing commands and navigating the shell (Mandatory).
  • Experience developing and supporting enterprise-grade web applications.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

 

Travel:

Candidate must be able to work in a hybrid model from Montreal, Quebec, with regular attendance at the client office as required.

Degree:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or equivalent work experience.

Nice to Have: (But not a must)

  • Mobile application development experience (iOS, Android, or cross-platform frameworks).
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
  • Experience with microservices architecture and RESTful API development.
  • Previous experience in financial services or other highly regulated industries.
