Hourly base pay rate is $20.10 - $30.10/hour. The hourly base rate may vary within the anticipated range based on factors such as the ultimate location of the position and the selected candidate's knowledge, skills, and abilities. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.

Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist II to join our billing team in Cherryville, NC. This role is responsible for ensuring accurate billing processes, maintaining workflow consistency, and fostering effective communication with service providers and internal team members.

  • Perform VMRS coding and costing of invoices, and audit invoices to ensure correct billing.
  • Auditing invoices and obtaining customer approval so they can be submitted.
  • Respond to Purchase Order (PO) line inquiries and handle overflow calls.
  • Contact service providers regarding invoice discrepancies or inquiries.
  • Index invoices into the workflow system.
  • Process rebills for Roadside and TMCare services.
  • Drag and drop invoices into appropriate events within the system.
  • Undertake additional duties as assigned within the Billing department.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by your supervisor or management.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma with at least 3 years of relevant experience; or the right candidate could also have a different combination, such as any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline; or 5 years' experience in a related field

  • Experience in the automotive industry or fleet management a plus.

  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills required

  • Ability to work in a high performance, fast-paced team environment

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with operating computers and office equipment for data entry, faxing, emailing, and document copying.

  • Experience with VMRS coding and billing is a plus.

To be employed in this role, you'll need to clear a pre-employment drug test. Cox Automotive does not currently administer a pre-employment drug test for marijuana for this position.
