Member Services Representative (MSR)

As a Member Services Representative with the BCBSWY Member Services Team, you will play an essential role in ensuring best-in-class service to our members, providers, and members of the general public. Are you ready to showcase your customer service skills in a professional call center recognized within the industry for providing superior customer experience?

By stepping into a Member Service Representative role, you will have the opportunity to make a positive difference every day! Help people by responding to questions, research issues they may have, connect them with the resources they may need.

Our Member Service Centers are equipped with software-supported call answering with adjustable headsets for ease of talking plus data entry multi-tasking. Our MSR employees are provided scheduled breaks and meal-times to ensure time to step away, while enabling the team to provide continuous high-quality service.

As a recognized BCBSWY employee, we count on you to positively serve in the role of "Brand Ambassador" within the local community and/or geographical region. We have multiple locations available through-out the state plus a Cost-Of-Living monthly adjustment for Jackson-based employees.

To be successful in this role, you will need to invest in learning our products and services, be dedicated to customer service, handle phone contact with people who may be experiencing emotional situations, be comfortable accessing and utilizing multiple systems to respond and research member/provider inquiries, and apply solid judgement as to when to escalate if needed.

Minimum qualifications include an earned High School diploma or equivalent; prior experience with accessing multiple database systems is helpful. As a new MSR, you will be provided on-the-job training on our systems, products, services, and providing best-in-class customer service skills from our skilled Trainers - plus day-to-day support from dedicated leadership!
