Baer is looking for IBP Supply and Inventory Consultant for a 6+ month remote project.
Title: IBP Supply and Inventory Consultant
Location: Remote (with travel to client sites as required including Atlanta, GA)
Duration: 6 months
Rate: Hourly Plus Expenses Reimbursed
Alignment: W2 or C2C
Overview
The IBP Supply and Inventory Consultant will design, configure, and implement SAP IBP for Supply & Response and IBP for Inventory. This hands-on role focuses on supply planning, response, S&OP, and multi-echelon inventory optimization, helping the business convert demand plans into feasible, cost-effective supply plans while optimizing inventory across the network.
Description:
  • Configure SAP IBP for Supply & Response, including planning levels, key figures, supply planning operators, and planning processes.
  • Design and configure the supply network model, including sources of supply, transportation lanes, production capacity, and resources.
  • Configure and optimize heuristic and optimizer-based planning, including costs, constraints, and supply planning trade-offs.
  • Design and configure SAP IBP for Inventory, including safety stock calculations, target inventory levels, and multi-echelon inventory optimization.
  • Configure S&OP processes, including scenario planning, version management, and comparison of alternative supply plans.
  • Support rough-cut capacity planning and constraint reviews for the S&OP cycle.
  • Configure deployment and order-based planning capabilities when required.
  • Build planning views and Fiori applications for supply planners and S&OP users.
  • Configure application jobs and job chains supporting supply planning and demand plan integration.
  • Partner with SAP S/4HANA MM/PP teams to align IBP supply planning with execution-side master data and MRP processes.
  • Perform unit testing and support SIT and UAT, including defect resolution and supply plan reconciliation.
  • Support supply planner and S&OP training and provide hypercare during initial planning cycles.

Requirements:
  • 5+ years of SAP supply planning experience, including SAP IBP for Supply & Response, IBP for Inventory, and/or SAP APO SNP.
  • Experience with at least two full-lifecycle SAP IBP supply or inventory implementations.
  • Strong understanding of constrained and unconstrained planning, optimizer concepts, capacity constraints, and multi-echelon inventory optimization.
  • Hands-on experience configuring IBP supply network models, sources of supply, transportation lanes, and planning parameters.
  • Experience with S&OP scenarios, planning versions, and plan comparison processes.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to explain planning results and optimizer decisions to business users and executives.
