Role Overview:
Could you be our next Commission Analyst? Globe Life is looking for a Commission Analyst to join the team!
In this role, you will be responsible for calculating, adjusting, and processing sales commissions for thousands of agents. They will answer queries, research problems as needed, and explain the way the commission is calculated. The role will be troubleshooting root cause of a problem if necessary and taking corrective actions if needed to ensure accurate pay. The position is also responsible for the accounting & auditing of commission accounts.
This is a remote / work-from-home position.
What You Will Do:
  • Maintain commission database including all entry and maintenance of data.
  • Ensure accurate and timely payment of commissions.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation to support audit requirements.
  • Perform accurate and detailed audit of commission statements in accordance with requirements.
  • Responsible for assisting with daily, weekly, and monthly commission processes.
  • Explain commission calculations and answer questions related to payouts, including timing, form of payout, commission percentages, etc.
  • Perform analyses of commission disputes, identifies, research, and reconcile any discrepancies.
  • Enhance current processes by developing deeper understanding of the commission process.
  • Assist with answering questions about 1099's and general 1099 preparation.
  • May perform other functions that may be assigned.

What You Can Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting; or equivalent years of analytical experience.
  • Prior experience with sales compensation calculations and reporting is a plus.
  • Background in the insurance industry is a plus.
  • Familiarity with compensation tools such as Varicent, Xactly, or SAP Callidus is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail with a commitment to data accuracy, organization, and handling confidential information with discretion.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to effectively tailor messaging to diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and consistently meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • High emotional intelligence (EQ) with a demonstrated ability to adapt, remain flexible, and learn quickly under pressure.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access.
