Job description

No Diet Dietitian · Remote (US, East Coast working hours overlap)

Additional Information Required here>>https://forms.gle/b6UvBNT8fSjKmXFN6<<

About No Diet

No Diet Dietitian is building a new standard for nutrition care: clinically rigorous, therapeutically grounded, technology-enabled, deeply human, and accessible nationwide.

Nutrition should help people care for their health and feel at home in their bodies. But for too many people, food has become a source of confusion, shame, fear, or failure. They're handed restrictive diets, generic meal plans, weight-loss promises, and “accountability” that often feels more like judgment. People with complex nutrition needs — from eating disorders and GI conditions to diabetes, PCOS, perinatal care, chronic disease, food anxiety, and body image struggles — are too often left with care that is shallow, fragmented, or overly focused on the scale.

We're an RD-led, evidence-based, anti-diet telehealth practice helping people improve their health and heal their relationship with food. Our model combines condition-specific nutrition interventions with therapeutic tools like Motivational Interviewing and CBT-informed behavior change.

We're growing fast because the need is enormous. Our clinical team and patient volume have been expanding rapidly over 2x in the past year and we're building the infrastructure required to deliver excellent nutrition care at scale: exceptional clinicians, strong clinical supervision, thoughtful operations, trusted marketing, disciplined finance, and technology that removes friction and improves consistency. We're investing in AI throughout the stack so our team can spend more time on the human work only they can do.

This is a place for people who believe better nutrition care should exist and want to help build it.

The Role

You will report to the No Diet CFO and own the revenue cycle for the entire practice — the operating system that makes sure the care we deliver actually gets paid for, accurately and on time. As we add RDs and grow patient volume, clean and reliable RCM is what keeps care affordable for clients and the business healthy.

This is a builder role with a team behind it. You'll lead a billing team of four, set the standards, work the hardest cases yourself, and design the processes and reporting that let the practice scale collections without adding friction. Central to your mandate is a new Candid Health implementation: you'll work alongside the CFO to own its rollout to automate claim submission and claim rework, and you'll lean on AI and agentic tooling to take manual, repetitive work off your team's plate. You'll do best here if you bring strong proposals, move quickly from evidence, and are genuinely excited to automate your own function.

How We Win

Almost all of the care NDD delivers is insurance-covered. That makes the revenue cycle a core part of access: every clean claim, fast appeal, and correctly credentialed provider is what lets more patients get care without surprises. The opportunity in this role is to turn RCM into a durable advantage — a billing engine that scales with clinician headcount and patient volume, powered by automation rather than headcount, without sacrificing accuracy or the patient experience.

The Work, Today

Revenue cycle ownership

  • End-to-end ownership. Own the full revenue cycle: eligibility verification, charge capture, claims submission, payment posting, denials, appeals, and patient billing and collections.
  • KPIs that matter. Track and improve clean claim rate, days in A/R, denial rate, net collection rate, and aging — and report results to the CFO on a regular rhythm.
  • Denials and A/R. Find the root causes of denials and underpayments, drive resolution, and put preventive fixes in place upstream. Own patient eligibility validation to ensure the maximum coverage and minimize the risk of patient fee responsibility to ensure a seems customer experience.
  • Nutrition-specific billing. Manage eligibility and coding for nutrition counseling (CPT 97802/97803, 99401–99404, telehealth modifiers) and prior authorizations where required.

Candid Health, AI, and automation

  • Candid Health implementation. Own the rollout and ongoing optimization of Candid Health to automate claim submission and claim rework, including configuration, payer rules, exception handling, and reporting.
  • AI and agentic tooling. Deploy AI and agentic automation across the revenue cycle — eligibility checks, claim scrubbing, denial triage, posting, and patient communications — so the team spends its time on judgment, not data entry.
  • Process and SOPs. Document workflows, instrument the funnel, and continuously remove manual steps as tooling matures.

Team and credentialing

  • Lead the billing team. Hire, ramp, coach, and manage a team of billers; set clear expectations for accuracy, turnaround, pipeline hygiene, and follow-through.
  • Credentialing and licensing coordination. Partner closely with credentialing and licensing to ensure newly hired RDs are enrolled and credentialed with the right payers, in the right states, before they begin seeing patients — so coverage is in place and claims are payable from day one.
  • Payer and vendor management. Manage relationships with payers, clearinghouses, and any outsourced partners; escalate and resolve systemic issues.
  • Financial partnership. Partner with the CFO on cash forecasting, month-end close support, and reconciliation of collections to the GL.

Patient experience

  • Respectful billing. Oversee patient-facing billing through clear communication, payment plans, and a collections experience consistent with our anti-diet, deeply human brand.

Your First 90 Days

  • Build full visibility into current A/R, denial trends, and collection performance, with a baseline KPI dashboard in place.
  • Drive the Candid Health implementation forward by standing up automated claim submission and a working claim-rework loop, with early wins on denials and days in A/R.
  • Document SOPs for the core billing workflows and establish clear ownership across the team of four.
  • Establish a credentialing-coordination rhythm so every newly hired RD is payer-ready before their first patient.
  • Identify the highest-leverage places to apply AI and agentic tooling and ship at least one meaningful automation.

Who We're Looking For

  • Revenue cycle depth. 5+ years in medical billing / revenue cycle, including experience leading or supervising a team, with command of the full cycle from eligibility through appeals and A/R follow-up.
  • Automation-first mindset. Deep comfort with AI and agentic tooling, and genuine enthusiasm for automating repetitive billing work rather than scaling it with headcount.
  • Systems experience. Hands-on with billing platforms, clearinghouses, and EHRs; experience implementing or operating Candid Health (or a comparable modern RCM platform) is a strong plus.
  • Coding and compliance fluency. Strong command of CPT, ICD-10, HCPCS, and payer rules across commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid; working knowledge of HIPAA and billing compliance. Knowledge of Medical Nutritional Therapy billing practices a strong advantage.
  • Player-coach energy. You can work the hardest claims yourself, learn from them, and then teach a team of four to do it well.
  • Data discipline. You care about repeatable systems, instrumented funnels, and honest measurement of clean claim rate, days in A/R, and net collection rate.
  • Credentialing awareness. You understand how provider enrollment and licensing affect payability, and you coordinate proactively to keep coverage ahead of clinical hiring.
  • Mission alignment is a force multiplier. Your belief in No Diet's approach shows up in how carefully and humanely you handle patient billing.

Position Details

  • Job type: Full-time
  • Location: Remote (U.S.). East Coast candidates preferred.
  • Working hours: Overlap with US East Coast hours for collaboration with the team. As a leader, you'll be trusted to own your own schedule.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base salary: 85k - 120k determined per-candidate based on experience and capability
  • Four weeks PTO
  • Health insurance through a Cigna PPO
  • Short-term disability, long-term disability, and life insurance available at no cost for eligible full-time employees after 90 days under current plan terms
  • 401(k) with employer match after 1 year
  • Equipment as necessary to support your work
  • Budget for any HIPAA-compliant AI tools you need to support your work

How We Hire

We read every application. We respond within a week. The process is short by design:

  • 30-minute screen with HR Manager
  • Interview with Brandon (CFO) on revenue cycle strategy, automation, and team leadership
  • Working session: we'll use a real NDD RCM problem — a denial-reduction plan, a Candid Health workflow, or a credentialing-to-billing handoff
  • Conversation with Val (CEO and founder) on mission, growth model, and the shape of the role
