We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Payable & Receivable Specialist to join our Finance team. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy working with financial records, maintaining accuracy, and supporting day-to-day accounting operations in a collaborative remote environment.
Position Summary
As an Accounts Payable & Receivable Specialist, you will be responsible for processing invoices, managing payments and collections, reconciling financial records, maintaining accurate accounting documentation, and assisting with general accounting functions. The ideal candidate is organized, analytical, dependable, and committed to maintaining a high level of accuracy and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
Process vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner.
Prepare and process customer invoices and monitor outstanding balances.
Record incoming payments and reconcile accounts receivable transactions.
Review invoices for accuracy, approvals, and supporting documentation.
Process electronic payments, checks, and vendor reimbursements.
Reconcile vendor statements and resolve payment discrepancies.
Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
Monitor aging reports and follow up on outstanding customer accounts professionally.
Assist with month-end account reconciliations and reporting.
Maintain confidentiality of financial information and company records.
Communicate professionally with vendors, customers, and internal departments regarding billing and payment inquiries.
Assist with audits and other accounting projects as assigned.
Ensure compliance with company accounting procedures and internal controls.
Preferred Qualifications
Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Previous experience in accounts payable, accounts receivable, bookkeeping, accounting support, or financial administration is preferred.
Equivalent education, training, or relevant experience will also be considered.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines while working independently.
High level of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
