Job description

Bottom Line Delivery is seeking a dependable part-time Data Entry Clerk to support accurate recordkeeping for its courier, messenger, pickup, delivery, and customer service operations.

This position is responsible for entering, reviewing, and maintaining information related to customer requests, pickup and delivery details, service records, account activity, billing support, and daily operational updates. The ideal candidate is organized, careful with details, comfortable using spreadsheets and digital systems, and able to complete assignments independently in a remote work environment.

The Data Entry Clerk will review authorized emails, customer requests, service forms, delivery records, spreadsheets, invoices, and internal documents before entering or updating information in company systems.

Daily work includes maintaining accurate customer and service records, updating pickup and delivery information, organizing electronic files, checking documents for missing or conflicting details, and preparing routine reports for management review.

Because Bottom Line Delivery handles time-sensitive courier and messenger requests, the employee must enter information carefully, complete assigned updates promptly, and report unclear information before making changes.

Responsibilities

• Enter and update customer names, business information, contact details, billing addresses, pickup locations, delivery destinations, and special service instructions.

• Maintain accurate records for same-day, overnight, scheduled, customized, document, catering, event, and other approved delivery requests.

• Update service logs with request dates, pickup times, delivery deadlines, service levels, order status, completion notes, and follow-up information.

• Review customer requests, order forms, email instructions, delivery records, invoices, receipts, and internal documents before entering information.

• Check records for missing addresses, incorrect contact details, duplicate entries, inconsistent dates, unclear delivery instructions, unsupported charges, and incomplete service information.

• Compare information across emails, forms, spreadsheets, customer records, and supporting documents to confirm accuracy before completing updates.

• Maintain organized digital files for customer accounts, delivery requests, service records, billing support documents, payment notes, and completed orders.

• Update spreadsheets, customer account records, pending-request lists, completed-service logs, billing trackers, and administrative reports.

• Record approved corrections with the appropriate date, notes, and supporting information.

• Notify the appropriate team member when customer, delivery, scheduling, billing, or service information is incomplete or requires clarification.

• Assist with routine record reviews by locating documents, confirming file completeness, and identifying information that requires follow-up.

• Prepare summaries of completed entries, pending updates, missing documents, open requests, and unresolved record differences.

• Protect confidential customer addresses, contact information, pricing details, payment records, delivery information, and company documents.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.

• Experience in data entry, administrative support, customer service, order processing, logistics support, records management, or a related computer-based position.

• Accurate typing and careful document-review skills.

• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets, Microsoft Word or Google Docs, email, PDF documents, and shared digital folders.

• Ability to enter names, addresses, dates, times, order details, service notes, quantities, and billing information accurately.

• Ability to compare information across several documents and identify missing, duplicated, or inconsistent details.

• Clear written communication skills for requesting clarification and providing concise work updates.

• Ability to organize several assignments, records, and deadlines without losing track of pending work.

• Ability to follow written procedures and avoid making unauthorized changes or assumptions.

• Ability to work independently while maintaining reliable communication during scheduled working hours.

• Reliable internet access and a private workspace suitable for handling customer and company records.

• Authorization to work in the United States.
