The Data Center Solutions Senior Manager plays a critical role in supporting the field service organization for data center customers. This highly technical role is responsible for bridging the gap between product development, technical training, quality feedback, and field support. This leader will serve as the central liaison between engineering, training, quality, and the commercial sales offices to ensure successful adoption, support, and performance of new HVAC products in the data center market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary subject matter expert on data center products and their application in mission-critical data center environments.

  • Lead a team of Application Engineers to deliver high-impact technical guidance to field service teams.

  • Leads the team of mobile data center service engineers and support responsible for nationwide data center installation and start-up.

  • Partner with product development to support the launch of new HVAC data center offerings and ensure field readiness.

  • Liaise with internal training teams to identify technical gaps and support the creation and delivery of relevant curriculum.

  • Act as a technical escalation point for field teams, providing advanced troubleshooting support as needed.

  • Coordinate with the Quality team to relay field feedback, identify product or performance issues, and help drive root cause resolution.

  • Travel as needed to support field deployment, product trials, and customer engagements.

  • Apply advanced knowledge of refrigeration, air conditioning systems, and magnetic bearing technology to support the design, commissioning, and ongoing operation of equipment.

  • Develop and maintain engineering documentation, technical bulletins, diagnostic procedures, and best practices to support knowledge transfer across the organization.

  • Collaborate with commercial and sales teams to ensure technical feasibility aligns with customer design requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated technical expertise in refrigeration and HVAC systems, with direct application to Data Center environments.

  • At least 7 years of experience in product support and technical service.

  • At least 5 years of experience with magnetic bearing chiller technology and advanced refrigeration systems.

  • Proven leadership ability with experience guiding technical teams.

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interface between engineering staff, field service teams, and customers.

  • Ability to interpret engineering specifications, technical drawings, and performance data, and translate into actionable guidance.

  • Experience working in or supporting a matrixed organization (engineering, quality, training, commercial).

  • Experience in new product introduction, commissioning, or early-stage product support.

  • Knowledge of control systems, diagnostics, thermodynamics, and commissioning procedures for HVAC and chiller systems.

  • Familiarity with field engineering support processes, test methods, and customer technical requirements.

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, mission-critical technical environment.

  • Familiarity with field service processes and customer support strategies.

  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.
