Job Description:

Saratech is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Digital Thread Architect to join our growing Engineering Excellence team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong combination of software development expertise, enterprise architecture experience, knowledge of Siemens Digital Industries Software, and depth in the engineering domain.

This role focuses on designing, architecting, and delivering Digital Thread solutions that connect Teamcenter, Siemens Capital, ERP platforms, MES systems, CRM solutions, MRP systems, vendor systems, and other enterprise applications. The role is responsible for establishing information flow across engineering, manufacturing, and business systems to improve data continuity, process automation, traceability, and business outcomes.

The successful candidate will work directly with customers, sales teams, project managers, and technical consultants to define Digital Thread strategies, develop technical solutions, and support successful deployment of digital transformation initiatives.

We are looking for an individual who enjoys solving complex technical challenges, working directly with customers, mentoring technical resources, and helping drive the future of Digital Thread enablement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead architecture and solution design efforts for Digital Thread solutions spanning Teamcenter, ERP, MES, CRM, MRP, EDA, vendor systems, and other enterprise applications.
  • Design and implement Digital Thread solutions that improve data continuity, process automation, and business outcomes across engineering, manufacturing, and enterprise systems.
  • Develop technical Digital Thread roadmaps, architecture diagrams, interface specifications, and deployment strategies.
  • Define system ownership, master data strategies, synchronization models, and governance approaches across connected enterprise applications.
  • Collaborate with customers to gather requirements, analyze current-state business processes, and define future-state Digital Thread solutions.
  • Support pre-sales activities including technical discovery workshops, architecture reviews, solution positioning, ROM estimates, and proposal development.
  • Create Digital Thread architecture specifications, interface definitions, data mapping documentation, and implementation plans.
  • Provide technical leadership for implementation teams throughout project execution.
  • Develop custom extensions, plugins, automation scripts, and solution components as required.
  • Design and support Digital Thread solutions involving Siemens Teamcenter, Siemens Capital, Siemens NX, and connected enterprise applications.
  • Troubleshoot complex data quality, interoperability, synchronization, and Digital Thread architecture issues.
  • Mentor consultants and developers on Digital Thread best practices, architecture standards, integration patterns, and implementation methodologies.
  • Work closely with project managers and customer stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Stay current with Siemens Digital Industries Software technologies, Digital Thread frameworks, and digital transformation trends.
  • Contribute to Saratech Digital Thread service offerings, delivery methodologies, reusable accelerators, and best-practice documentation.

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience working with Siemens Digital Industries Software solutions, including Teamcenter, Siemens Capital, NX, or related platforms.
  • Demonstrated experience leading enterprise integration, Digital Thread, or solution architecture initiatives involving PLM and enterprise systems.
  • Experience designing solutions that connect PLM and enterprise systems such as ERP, MES, CRM, MRP, or supply chain applications.
  • Experience defining and implementing Digital Thread strategies that connect engineering, manufacturing, and enterprise systems.
  • Experience with Siemens Active Integration products and enterprise architecture frameworks.
  • Strong software development background with experience in Java, C++, XML, SQL, TCL, and scripting technologies.
  • Experience translating business requirements into scalable technical architectures.
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, system architecture, and Digital Thread implementation methodologies.
  • Knowledge of Digital Thread, Digital Twin, and Model-Based Enterprise (MBE) concepts and their application within product development and manufacturing organizations.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and customer-facing consulting skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience implementing Siemens Active Integration Gateway (AIG).
  • Experience with Teamcenter deployment, customization, and enterprise solution delivery projects.
  • Knowledge of Siemens Capital, wire harness engineering, electrical systems design, or E/E architecture processes.
  • Experience connecting Teamcenter with ERP, MES, CRM, manufacturing systems, MCAD, or EDA applications.
