Job Description

REMOTE SUPPORT TECHNICIAN

Global Data Systems, a successful growing technology/telecommunications company, is currently seeking Technical Support personnel that have good communication skills and experience in network troubleshooting in the Lafayette area.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Provide superior customer service and Tier 1 support end users.
  • Provide troubleshooting and technical support via phone, email, & web based tools.
  • Demonstrate and maintain basic knowledge and certification on technologies related to Microsoft, iDirect, and Cisco .
  • Work independently, as well as, with other engineers and support vendors to diagnose problems and bring about successful resolution within designated Service Level Agreements (SLA's).
  • Candidates should have strong networking knowledge and a CCNA and/or equivalent is a plus.
  • High School diploma and one year of technology related experience working with Personal Computers, Routers, Switches and/or related networks and at least three months of demonstrated customer service experience; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.
