Job description

Job Overview

This role is responsible for overseeing the data analysis and reporting processes within the S/4 platform and related SAP products. This role involves developing and implementing data strategies, ensuring data integrity, and leveraging data insights to drive business decisions. The manager will collaborate with various teams to optimize S/4 and related data systems, support enterprise architecture initiatives, and ensure compliance with data governance policies. The role will also drive collaboration and delivery with 3rd party partners to collectively deliver Analytics and Reporting solutions to address opportunities and create business value.  

Accountabilities

 Responsibilities:

Develop and Implement Data Strategies: Create and execute data analysis, data collection systems, and other strategies to optimize statistical efficiency and quality.

Data Management and Integrity: Ensure the accuracy, consistency, and security of data across the organization by maintaining databases and data systems.

Trend Analysis and Reporting: Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets and prepare accurate reports for upper management.

Collaboration and Coordination: Work with different functional teams to implement data models, monitor outcomes, and support enterprise architecture projects.

Compliance and Governance: Ensure adherence to data management and governance regulations and policies, maintaining a robust risk posture for data assets.  

Requirements:

Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of data analysis tools and techniques, including proficiency in SQL, Python, and data visualization tools. This competency ensures the manager can effectively handle complex data sets and derive meaningful insights.

Analytical and Critical Thinking: Ability to analyze complex data, identify patterns, and make data-driven decisions. This skill is crucial for interpreting data accurately and providing actionable recommendations.

 Communication and Collaboration: Excellent communication skills to present data insights clearly and collaborate with cross-functional teams. This competency ensures effective coordination and implementation of data strategies across the organization.

Cross functional work: Collaborate with the Business SMEs and the technical team from developing the decision-making frameworks to deploying the technical and process solution.

 Management of initiatives/deliverables: Experienced in the deliverable (agile or waterfall) of small to medium initiatives from design to deployment without the need for scrum or project mgmt. support.  

Prior Experience

Experience & Education:

Education: Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Information Management, or a related field. A Master's degree in Business Administration, Data Science, or a related field is preferred.

Experience: At least 5 years of professional experience in data analysis or a related field. Experience in enterprise architecture and data governance is highly desirable
