Account Executive (Outside Sales) โ€“ Packaging Industry Experience Required

United Bags is seeking a driven, relationship-focused Account Executive to expand our presence and grow customer relationships throughout Ohio and surrounding territories.

This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced packaging sales professional who enjoys developing new business, building long-term customer partnerships, and managing their own territory with the support of a stable, family-oriented company.

Please Note: To be considered for this role, candidates must have prior packaging industry sales experience. We are seeking professionals who understand packaging products, customer applications, and the unique needs of manufacturing, distribution, industrial, and commercial customers.

About the Role

As an Account Executive, you will serve as the face of United Bags in your region while partnering closely with our corporate headquarters in St. Louis, Missouri. You'll be responsible for developing new business opportunities, strengthening existing customer relationships, and serving as a trusted advisor for packaging solutions across manufacturing, distribution, industrial, and commercial markets.

This position offers significant autonomy, uncapped earning potential, and the opportunity to build and grow a key territory in one of the Midwest's strongest business markets.

What You'll Do
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers throughout the Cincinnati metropolitan area and surrounding region
  • Prospect and develop new business through cold calling, networking, referrals, industry associations, and local business relationships
  • Travel regularly throughout your territory to meet customers, assess needs, and recommend tailored packaging solutions
  • Prepare and present quotes, proposals, and customized product solutions
  • Collaborate with inside sales, operations, and logistics teams to ensure exceptional customer service and fulfillment
  • Manage and grow a robust sales pipeline to achieve and exceed revenue goals
  • Maintain accurate customer activity, pipeline, and sales data within CRM systems
  • Stay informed on product offerings, market trends, and competitive activity within the marketplace
  • Represent United Bags at customer meetings, facility visits, trade events, and industry functions throughout the region
  • Provide regular territory updates and sales reports to company leadership
Required Qualifications
  • 2โ€“5 years of outside sales, B2B sales, account management, or territory development experience
  • Packaging industry sales experience required
  • Experience selling packaging products, packaging materials, industrial packaging, flexible packaging, shipping supplies, poly bags, or related packaging solutions
  • Proven track record of generating new business and growing existing customer accounts
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
  • Self-motivated with the ability to manage a territory independently
  • Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel throughout Ohio and surrounding markets
  • Professional, results-oriented mindset with a strong focus on customer success
  • Must reside in the Cincinnati, Ohio metropolitan area
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or college coursework
  • Consultative or solution-based selling experience
  • Established business relationships within the Cincinnati market
  • Experience working with ERP and CRM systems
