Root Center For Advanced Recovery is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) to join our team in a full-time remote capacity. As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Root Center, your responsibilities will include:

• Conducting individual, family, and group therapy sessions using evidence-based practices tailored to the client’s needs.
• Providing crisis intervention and support to patients dealing with emotional and behavioral challenges, including thorough assessments and treatment planning.
• Implementing the use of assessment tools to gather data for initial evaluations and ongoing treatments, ensuring informed clinical decisions.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop personalized treatment plans, monitoring client progress, and making necessary adjustments to facilitate effective recovery pathways.
• Engaging in regular supervision and consultation meetings to share insights, reinforce best practices, and uphold a culture of continuous improvement.

This position primarily involves working with clients experiencing substance abuse disorders alongside a range of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, and trauma-related conditions. You will support clients across various demographics, addressing their unique backgrounds and life experiences, and working towards healing and resilience in their interpersonal relationships. Your expertise in family dynamics will play a crucial role in helping clients navigate their challenges and restore balance within their relationships.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from an accredited program.
• An active and unrestricted LMFT license in the state of Pennsylvania.
• At least three years of clinical experience in a therapeutic setting, particularly focusing on marriage and family therapy as well as substance use and co-occurring disorders.
• Excellent clinical skills in psychosocial assessments, crisis intervention strategies, and corresponding treatment modalities.
• A comprehensive understanding of individual and family development across various life stages, which will enhance therapeutic effectiveness and client engagement.

We value candidates who bring experience in multidisciplinary collaboration, linkages with community resources, and the ability to work with diverse populations. Familiarity with specific therapeutic tools and approaches, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) or dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), will be seen as advantageous.
