What is a remote data center?

A remote data center is a facility that houses computer systems, servers, and related components, located offsite and managed remotely rather than on the primary business premises. These data centers are accessed and operated through network connections, enabling businesses to store, process, and manage data without maintaining physical infrastructure onsite. Remote data centers provide benefits such as increased security, scalability, disaster recovery, and cost savings for organizations that need reliable IT resources but want to minimize direct management. They are commonly used for cloud computing, backup, and hosting large-scale applications.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote data center technician?

To thrive as a Remote Data Center Technician, you need strong knowledge of server hardware, networking, and data center operations, often supported by certifications like CompTIA Server+ or Cisco CCNA. Familiarity with remote monitoring tools, ticketing systems, and infrastructure management platforms is typically required. Excellent problem-solving, time management, and communication skills help technicians address issues efficiently and coordinate with on-site teams. These skills ensure smooth data center operations, minimize downtime, and support critical business functions from a remote environment.

How does working in a remote data center role typically differ from on-site data center positions in terms of daily collaboration and communication?

In a remote data center role, much of the collaboration with on-site technicians, network engineers, and IT support teams is conducted through digital platforms such as video conferences, ticketing systems, and chat applications. While you may not physically interact with hardware, you'll often coordinate troubleshooting, manage configurations, and monitor systems remotely. Effective communication and clear documentation are especially critical, as you rely on local staff for hands-on tasks and need to ensure instructions are precise. This setup offers flexibility but also demands strong self-discipline and proactive engagement to stay aligned with the team.

While both roles require similar technical certifications, their work environments and daily tasks differ significantly, catering to different industry needs.

Can remote data center jobs be remote?

Remote data center jobs typically involve managing and maintaining data center infrastructure from a remote location, which is increasingly common with the use of remote monitoring tools and cloud management platforms. However, some roles may require on-site presence for hardware installation, troubleshooting, or physical access to equipment. Job requirements vary by employer and specific position.

Integrated Marketing Campaign Manager

AssetWatch, Inc.

Ohio City, OH • Remote

$100K - $121K/yr

Full-time

Re-posted 29 days ago

Job description

AssetWatch serves global manufacturers by powering manufacturing uptime through the delivery of an unparalleled condition monitoring experience, with a passion to care about the assets our customers care for every day. We are a devoted and capable team that includes world-renowned engineers and distinguished business leaders united by a common goal – To build the future of predictive maintenance. As we enter the next phase of rapid growth, we are seeking people to help lead the journey.

We're looking for a B2B Integrated Campaign Manager who wakes up thinking about pipeline. In this role, you'll own the strategy and hands-on execution of full-funnel, multi-channel campaigns that drive real revenue; building in HubSpot, pulling the levers, and iterating relentlessly until the numbers move. This is a fast-scaling SaaS environment where every campaign decision is made through one lens: what gets more qualified opportunities into the funnel, faster.

This isn't your typical enterprise SaaS role. AssetWatch sells into the manufacturing plant floor - maintenance managers, reliability engineers, plant managers, and operations leaders who aren't scrolling LinkedIn between meetings. Reaching them requires a dual playbook: account-based tactics for executive buyers, and channel-agnostic creative for the plant-level practitioners who champion the technology.

This role blends campaign strategy, cross-functional leadership, and technical campaign execution, and it demands someone who plans obsessively and operates with precision. You'll be managing multiple campaigns and stakeholders simultaneously, and the throughline that keeps it all moving is your ability to build the system, run the system, and hold it accountable to pipeline.

What You'll Do:

Campaign Strategy & Execution

  • Develop and execute integrated, multi-channel campaigns to drive demand, pipeline, and revenue
  • Translate business goals into coordinated campaigns across email, paid media, web, events, and sales outreach
  • Own campaign execution end-to-end, including building and launching campaigns in HubSpot

Marketing Automation & Campaign Operations

  • Build, test, and deploy campaign assets in HubSpot (emails, landing pages, workflows, forms)
  • Partner with Lifecycle Marketing to ensure proper segmentation, targeting, and timing
  • Manage campaign workflows and triggers to support lead generation and nurture efforts
  • Ensure campaigns are properly tracked, tagged, and attributed

Cross-Functional Alignment

  • Collaborate with product marketing, content, design, and sales to align messaging and campaign goals
  • Work closely with RevOps to ensure Salesforce and HubSpot alignment for campaign tracking and lead flow
  • Support sales with campaign insights, follow-up strategies, and enablement materials

Performance & Optimization

  • Define KPIs (MQLs, pipeline, conversion rates, campaign ROI)
  • Monitor campaign performance and optimize in real time (A/B testing, messaging, timing, channels)
  • Build and maintain campaign reporting dashboards in HubSpot

Data & Compliance

  • Ensure campaigns follow best practices for data usage, segmentation, and compliance (CAN-SPAM, GDPR)
  • Maintain clean campaign data and proper attribution tracking

Qualifications

  • 4–7+ years in B2B SaaS marketing, demand generation, or integrated campaigns
  • Hands-on experience executing campaigns in HubSpot (or similar MAP)
  • Strong understanding of pipeline generation and SaaS funnel metrics
  • Experience working with Salesforce CRMand marketing-sales alignment
  • Ability to manage both strategy and execution in a fast-paced environment

What Success Looks Like

  • Campaigns consistently generate qualified pipeline and revenue
  • Seamless execution from strategy → build → launch → optimization
  • Strong alignment between marketing campaigns and sales outcomes
  • Clear, reliable campaign reporting and attribution
