Job description

Title: Salesforce Solution Architect (Experience Cloud)

Location: Remote [SFO, CA]

Duration: 6Months

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Solution Architect to lead the end-to-end technical design and implementation of a large-scale enterprise digital portal. This role sits at the intersection of enterprise architecture, digital experience platforms, and systems integration. You will serve as the technical authority guiding platform selection, defining integration patterns across content management, asset management, CRM, SSO, and e-commerce systems, and ensuring the delivered solution meets scalability, security, and compliance requirements.

This is a high-visibility role with significant influence over technology decisions that will shape a digital partner ecosystem โ€” serving external partners and internal teams through a unified, secure, enterprise-grade platform.

Key Responsibilities

Platform Architecture & Design

โ€ข Define end-to-end technical architecture including platform selection, integration topology, data flows, and deployment model

โ€ข Evaluate and recommend suitable platforms (SaaS, open-source, or custom build) aligned to business and technical requirements

โ€ข Design a mobile-first, responsive architecture optimized for performance across device types and network conditions

โ€ข Produce architecture diagrams, solution design documents, and technical specification documents

Integration & Systems Design

โ€ข Architect integrations across content, asset management, identity, CRM, inventory, and payment systems

โ€ข Define API contracts, authentication patterns, and data exchange models between the portal and all third-party systems

โ€ข Design a Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) framework covering multiple user personas across external partners and internal staff

โ€ข Ensure authentication flows satisfy enterprise IAM requirements and applicable data privacy regulations

Content, Commerce & Asset Architecture

โ€ข Architect an e-commerce module covering catalog management, shopping cart, multi-payment support, and order fulfillment tracking

โ€ข Design an asset management integration layer enabling search, metadata tagging, expiry management, and permissioned downloads

โ€ข Define content customization and approval workflows supporting user-level personalization with automated review and sign-off routing

Implementation Oversight & Delivery

โ€ข Own the technical delivery roadmap including MVP scope, phased rollout planning, and critical path management

โ€ข Lead technical reviews and provide architecture guidance across front-end, back-end, and integration workstreams

โ€ข Define and oversee UAT, performance testing, and security testing processes

โ€ข Serve as technical escalation point for risks, blockers, and vendor decisions throughout the project lifecycle

Required Qualifications

Experience

โ€ข 10+ years of overall technology experience, with at least 5 years in a Solution Architect or Enterprise Architect role

โ€ข Proven track record architecting enterprise-grade digital experience platforms or partner/dealer portal solutions at scale

โ€ข Hands-on experience integrating content management, digital asset management, CRM, and e-commerce systems

โ€ข Strong background in identity and access management โ€” SSO, MFA, RBAC, and user provisioning

โ€ข Experience delivering projects using agile or iterative methodologies

Technical Skills

โ€ข Digital experience platforms (Salesforce Experience Cloud, Adobe AEM, Liferay, Drupal, or equivalent)

โ€ข REST API design, microservices architecture, and systems integration

โ€ข Authentication protocols โ€” SAML 2.0, OAuth 2.0, OIDC

โ€ข E-commerce platforms and payment gateway integrations

โ€ข Security and compliance frameworks (SOC 2, GDPR, PCI-DSS)

โ€ข Mobile-first design principles and front-end performance optimization

Preferred

โ€ข Relevant platform certifications (Salesforce, Adobe, AWS, Azure, or equivalent)

โ€ข Experience with DAM platforms, template customization tools, or brand management systems

โ€ข Familiarity with analytics and reporting integrations
