Senior Software QA Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Software QA Engineer to join our engineering team and own the quality of our software products end-to-end. You will work closely with developers, product managers, and designers to ensure that every release meets the highest standards of reliability, performance, and user experience. This is a hands-on role with significant influence over our testing strategy and QA processes.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test suites for complex software systems
  • Lead manual and automated testing efforts across functional, regression, integration, performance, and security testing
  • Build and scale automated testing frameworks using tools such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar
  • Identify, document, and track bugs with clarity and detail; work with engineering teams to drive issues to resolution
  • Define and enforce QA best practices, standards, and processes across the team
  • Collaborate with developers during code reviews to catch quality issues early in the development cycle
  • Mentor junior QA engineers and serve as a technical resource for the broader team
  • Partner with product and engineering to assess risk and prioritize testing efforts in fast-moving release cycles
  • Analyze test results, generate reports, and communicate quality metrics to stakeholders
  • Continuously evaluate and introduce new tools, methodologies, and technologies to improve QA effectiveness

Requirements

  • 9 years of experience in software quality assurance, with a bachelor's degree or 7 years with a master's degree.
  • Strong proficiency in test automation frameworks and at least one scripting or programming language (Python, JavaScript, Java, etc.)
  • Deep experience with API testing tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or similar
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines and experience integrating automated tests into tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or CircleCI
  • Experience with performance and load testing tools (e.g., k6, JMeter, Locust)
  • Familiarity with Agile/Scrum development methodologies
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a sharp eye for detail
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to clearly articulate quality risks to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Clearance Requirements: TS/SCI CI Poly Preferred

Text Constant The salary associated with this position ($99,000-$206,000) is commensurate with the selected candidate's qualifications, years of relevant experience, and demonstrated level of expertise. Compensation will be determined based on these factors to ensure alignment with skills, responsibilities, and market standards.
