Remote Benefit Customer Service Representative (Local Candidates Only)
Now Hiring in Richardson, TX!

Join our team as a Benefit Customer Service Representative and play a key role in helping members navigate their healthcare and pension plans with confidence. This is a meaningful opportunity to provide exceptional service and make a difference in people’s lives every day.

Pay

  • Starting Pay: $18.50/hour
  • Starting Bilingual Pay: $19.25/hour (Spanish or French)

Location

  • Remote position for local candidates only
  • Must live within 1 hour of Richardson, TX
  • You'll report to the office on Day 1 to pick up equipment and may occasionally attend in-person meetings or special projects.

What You'll Do

  • Guide members through benefits enrollment and assist with updates to health and/or pension plans.
  • Deliver personalized support via phone, email, and webchat—we prioritize quality over speed.
  • Start on a single client account, then receive cross-training to support multiple clients over time.
  • Use empathy, professionalism, and clear communication to handle a variety of member concerns, including sensitive or complex situations.
  • Interpret plan documents and explain them in simple, easy-to-understand language.
  • Handle confidential information responsibly in compliance with HIPAA and data privacy standards.

Schedule & Flexibility

  • Monday–Friday only (No weekends—ever!)
  • During peak season: 40 hours/week with potential overtime.
  • During off-peak: 32–40 hours/week, based on client needs.
  • Must be flexible to work shifts between 8:00 AM – 11:00 PM (most shifts fall between 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM, with occasional extended hours during peak periods).

What We're Looking For

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Customer service or call center experience is a plus, but not required—we'll train the right person!
  • Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to adapt your service approach to meet a variety of personalities and communication styles.
  • Basic computer proficiency and comfort learning new systems.

Bilingual Candidates Encouraged to Apply

We're especially looking for fluent Spanish or French speakers. Qualified bilingual candidates earn $19.25/hour, which includes a $0.75/hour bilingual differential.
