Join a team that powers everyday impact.

Quill, a Staples company, is looking for a driven Inside Sales Site Development Representative to help grow relationships with existing and prospective customer locations connected to our managed account base. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys customer conversations, thrives in a goal-oriented environment, and wants to build a strong foundation in business-to-business sales.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Make daily outbound calls to Quill customers who have not placed a recent order to support reactivation and revenue growth.
  • Contact prospective customer locations affiliated with managed customer entities to identify needs and conversion opportunities.
  • Accept inbound calls from customers tied to managed accounts and help ensure customer needs are met.
  • Negotiate pricing and process special quotes for customer opportunities.
  • Use customer insights, including order history, to guide quality conversations.
  • Leverage specialized offers and Quill’s value proposition to help customers place orders and meet monthly quotas and key metrics.
  • Maintain consistent communication with account managers to share customer trends and pricing solution opportunities.
  • Partner with sales specialists and support teams to identify opportunities beyond traditional office supplies, including furniture, technology, high-value quotes, print, and promotional products.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date activity, pipeline, and customer records in CRM.
  • Apply coaching and feedback from managers and peers to continuously improve sales approach and performance.

What you bring to the table

  • Motivation to build customer relationships that create measurable value and growth.
  • Clear, confident communication with customers and internal partners across calls, follow-up, and solution-focused conversations.
  • Curiosity and strong listening skills to understand customer needs, ask thoughtful questions, and uncover opportunities.
  • A problem-solving mindset with the ability to connect customer needs to relevant products, programs, or solutions.
  • Comfort making outbound calls, engaging customers, and continuing forward after rejection or setbacks.
  • Strong organization, time management, and follow-through when balancing customer conversations, priorities, and activity goals.
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn quickly as customer needs, business priorities, or sales approaches change.
  • A customer-first approach focused on creating a positive, helpful, and professional experience in every interaction.
  • Collaborative mindset with a willingness to share ideas, apply feedback, and learn from managers, peers, and business partners.
  • Composure and critical thinking when prioritizing next steps, solving customer challenges, and supporting sales goals.

What’s needed- Basic Qualifications

  • Associate degree, bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience.

What’s needed - Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of experience in sales or service in a business-to-business environment.
  • Experience meeting or exceeding productivity goals, quotas, or sales metrics.
  • Experience using CRM tools, Salesforce.com, or a comparable sales platform.
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

The salary range represents the expected compensation for this role at the time of posting.  The specific base pay may be influenced by a variety of factors to include the candidate's experience, skill set, education, business considerations, geography, and internal equity.   Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay, in accordance with federal and state requirements.
