Virtual Chief Technology Officer (VCTO)

Location: Vegas, NV

As a Virtual Chief Technology Officer (vCTO) on our team, we're looking for you to provide world-class executive advisory services as well as support the Redapt sales team in pre-sales calls and meetings, speak at events, attend or lead podcasts/fireside chats. The vCTO engages in thought leadership, new solution development and continuously builds expertise to Redapt's solutions.

As a vCTO focusing on Data and AI, your main duties include supporting sales, services, and implementation teams with leadership, deep architectural skills, and mentoring. You will ensure we deliver innovative, high-quality, scalable technology solutions while collaborating across functions. The ideal candidate has over 10 years of experience as a CTO, CIO, or VP of Technology with expertise in data architecture, analytics, data science, DataOps, and AI deployments.

We are looking for a Senior Data and AI Architect with deep knowledge of data architecture, AI, and the sales process. The candidate should excel in communicating with executive teams and possess extensive expertise in Partner programs and funding opportunities.

Role Description:

  • Provide technical and pre-sales leadership to customers and stakeholders.
  • Consult with customers on new and emerging technologies.
  • Develop and implement technology strategies that align with the customers business goals.
  • Review client's current technology maturity and posture against future goals
  • Assist with identifying gaps and developing a data management maturity roadmap with the client.
  • Mentor customer technology teams, providing leadership and guidance as needed.
  • Prepare and deliver thoughtful, insightful, and professional presentations to customers.
  • Align emerging technologies with client technology and business goals.
  • Analyze and evaluate technological risks and provide feedback on current technology policies, procedures, and plans.
  • Assess the effectiveness of client technology measures and controls.
  • Review both operational and analytical data estates and capabilities across data management, analytics, and artificial intelligence, targeting opportunities for business value realization.
  • Evaluate and manage technological risks, including cybersecurity threats and compliance issues.
  • Provide pre-sales support to Sales in assessing customer needs, scoping engagements, and estimating the level of effort for consulting projects or managed services engagements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable data architectures and AI solutions.
  • Collaborate with sales teams to understand business needs and translate them into technical requirements.
  • Engage with executive teams to present and explain complex technical concepts.
  • Lead the development and deployment of AI models and data pipelines.
  • Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with industry standards.
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI and data technologies.
  • Identify and leverage Microsoft programs and funding opportunities to support projects.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in data architecture or software engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years in an IT management or technology consulting role, preferably working independently.
  • A demonstrated record of successful IT management or technology consulting with projects at a variety of companies.
  • Intimate understanding of strategic planning and technological alignment process.
  • Understanding of technology evaluation strategy, budget management and risk management.
  • Experience in Data modeling, both transactional and analytical, especially in establishing Enterprise Data Models.

The base salary range for this full-time position in the US is $200k - $230k annually + bonuses + benefits.  Redapt salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location.  The salary range displayed in each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations.  Please note, the base pay offered may vary within the range depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to work location, job related knowledge/skills, relevant education/training, and level of experience.  Please note that the compensation details listed in the US role postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonuses or benefits.
