As part of a Community Health Clinic, you will collaborate virtually with a multifaceted healthcare team, including doctors, nurses, and other mental health professionals dedicated to comprehensive patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Establishing a therapeutic rapport with patients, families, and loved ones, while conducting thorough assessments to identify suicidality or potential danger risks.
  • Facilitating an empathetic and organized admission process for new patients, actively participating in outreach initiatives and conducting program tours as needed.
  • Collaborating weekly with a treatment team to share and align on patient treatment goals, while providing additional support to team members during their absence.
  • Conducting utilization reviews with insurance companies, ensuring that all clinical information is accurate for securing authorization for treatment.
  • Being accessible to families, returning calls and emails promptly—within 2 hours during business hours and 24 hours otherwise—to provide effective support and communication.
  • Coordinating with the Utilization Review and Business Departments regarding authorization and billing, while communicating with referral sources for seamless continuity of care.
  • Initiating discharge planning on the day of admission and conducting discharge sessions that clarify coping strategies, transition plans, and resource availability.
  • Managing crises effectively within therapy sessions and the treatment milieu, maintaining a high standard of clinical quality through collaboration with the entire treatment team.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate clinical documentation throughout patient treatment, adhering to best practices that mandate documentation completion at the time of service.
Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work with a varied patient population, including individuals facing anxiety, depression, trauma-related issues, and other mental health challenges. Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology, Counseling, or Clinical Social Work (e.g., MA, MS, MSW, MFT, MHC, PhD, PsyD) from an accredited institution.
  • An independent mental health license in Oregon (LCSW, LMFT, LPC) is required to provide services.

Compensation and Benefits

This Full-Time Licensed Mental Health Counselor position offers a competitive salary range between USD 50,000 – 70,000 annually.
