Position Summary
The Clinical Trainer designs, develops, and delivers comprehensive hybrid training programs for the Case Management department. This role supports clinical and non-clinical staff serving Medicare and TRICARE members. The position will be responsible for collaborating with leadership to develop and deploy both live clinical instruction as well as e-learning development, operational workflow design, and document management. to ensure activities meet and exceed Martin's Point performance benchmarks for compliance, while improving quality, optimizing cost, and improving patient experience. Additionally, this role manages the department's job aids, standard operating procedures, and SharePoint site.
Job Description
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develops and conducts live, virtual, and recorded training sessions for new hires and existing staff on case management program and workflows.
  • Collaborates with leadership to map, develop, optimize, and manage departmental clinical workflows.
  • Authors and maintains clear, step-by-step job aids, reference guides, and desktop procedures.
  • Standardizes, reviews, and controls version history for all internal clinical and operational documentation.
  • Builds, organizes, and maintains the department SharePoint site to ensure easy access to training assets.
  • Incorporates NCQA, CMS (Medicare) and DHA (TRICARE) regulatory requirements into all training materials.
  • Audits staff documentation post-training to identify knowledge gaps and implement remedial coaching and and as needed in conjunction or support of supervisor of care management

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Health Science, Nursing or related field required
  • Master's degree in Nursing (MSN), Healthcare Administration (MHA), or Public Health (MPH) preferred

Licensure/certification:
  • Certified Case Manager (CCM) or American Case Management Association (ACMA) certification preferred.

Experience:
  • Minimum 5 years of clinical case management experience within a managed care organization or health insurer with Medicare Advantage, with combined experience facilitating live, virtual, and hybrid classrooms, specifically within a corporate healthcare or managed care setting required.
  • TRICARE experience preferred.
  • Experience building QA audit tools, analyzing performance metrics, and creating remediation plans.

Knowledge:
  • Demonstrated experience with NCQA case management accreditation standards, audit preparations, and HEDIS quality metrics required.
  • Proficiency in health IT systems, including specialized Case Management platforms (e.g., TruCare, Salesforce Health Cloud,), Electronic Health Records (EHRs), and clinical data analytics reporting tools preferred.

Skills:
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, oral and written required.
  • Strong organizational skills including the ability to work independently and prioritize work required.
  • Competence with computers and business applications; Microsoft Excel, Visio, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access required.
  • Proficiency in SharePoint administration (permissions, site design) preferred.

Abilities:
  • Proven background in adult learning principles and instructional design
  • Proven track record of building comprehensive training curriculums from scratch, translating complex medical workflows into digestible learning paths
Pay Range:$86,926.10 - $107,379.30The pay range above reflects the anticipated base pay range based on a full-time position. Actual compensation will be determined based on factors such as experience, skills, qualifications, and other job-related considerations. Employees may also be eligible for additional compensation, including incentive or commission-based programs, where applicable and subject to the terms of the relevant plan.In addition to base compensation, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, retirement savings with employer contributions, paid time off (including volunteer time off!), pie day, and other employee benefits.
