Description

ABOUT US:

Optidge is a home-grown remote-first digital marketing agency supporting small and medium businesses with SEO, paid media, and web development services. We're a team of ~40 spread through the US and internationally, aligning to values of Mentorship, Stewardship, Excellence, and Communication.

THE ROLE:

The Paid Search Strategist will report into the Director of Paid Media, with oversight from the Paid Media leads.

This role is perfect for an experienced Paid Search / PPC practitioner who enjoys working with SMB / Mid-sized clients to optimize their lead generation flows through ad strategy.

This role is a contract position with an option to convert to an employee should pre-determined success metrics be achieved. This role is scoped for 30 to 35 hours per week, with an hourly rate starting at $30 and scaling with experience.

Day To Day and Year 1:

  • As a Paid Search Strategist, you'll start your day by reviewing campaign performance data and identifying key trends across your accounts.
  • Using tools like Google Ads, Google Analytics, and Microsoft Ads, you will analyze CTR, conversion rates, CPC, and overall account performance to inform strategic decisions.
  • You'll launch new client projects, including setting up conversion tracking with our data team, creating a baseline bidding strategy, target keywords and keyword negatives, and developing landing pages with our creative team
  • Own monthly client reporting and client meetings to present results and discuss strategies, and participate in weekly or daily team updates on campaign performance and progress with collaborators and leadership

Within 1 months you'll...

  • Have completed onboarding, understand our client operations, and begun work on your first project
  • Start shadowing accounts from other Strategists
  • Show proactivity in communicating with Account Managers and other cross-functional teams

By 3 months you'll...

  • Have fully ramped into the role ownership of 2-4 clients (depending on the size of the client), with minimal to no process gaps or implementation errors
  • Finish shadowing accounts from other Strategists to gain holistic understanding of how we work
  • Start to lead strategy with support of colleagues and seniors, owning the "first pass" on strategy with review from support teammates

By 6 months you'll...

  • Offer strategic support to junior teammates, providing your voice in weekly meetings and 1:1
  • Own and launch a new client build (depending on sales pipeline)
  • Identify strategic shifts based on campaign performance, regional holidays, and client business goals

Requirements

Your Experience

To be successful in this role, you should have accomplished the below and be confident in owning each area on our team:

1. Have worked on client campaigns with budgets between $5k - 40k per month, ideally for a service-based industry like in-home healthcare, legal or financial services, or similar.

2. Maintain a strong understanding of running campaigns with Google Ads Manager, with Reporting and conversion tracking through Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Call tracking metrics or a similar platform

3. Knowledge of how to use AI to accelerate and streamline the campaign strategy process

4. Be a "figure it out" person, ideally with experience working in a digital marketing agency and the ability to manage the light level of chaos that comes with agency territory.

WHY OPTIDGE?

Our team is a blend of full-time employees and fractional contractors. This allows each individual the flexibility to do work they enjoy in the structure they prefer. Regardless of your employee classification, we offer benefits that align to our values, including:

  • Individual growth plans that help you achieve your ideal career path
  • Incredible company culture. We are passionate about the impact we make every day, we balance freedom with responsibility, and we aim for a consultative, transparent, and communicative approach in both our internal and client relationships.
  • Great career growth opportunity. You'll have direct access to agency leadership and graduate level university training.
