This position will be remote and can be hired anywhere within the continental United States.

The Business Development Representative (BDR) plays a critical role in driving pipeline growth by identifying, qualifying, and engaging prospective clients. This individual partners closely with sales and marketing teams to generate new business opportunities, nurture marketing-qualified leads, and connect organizations with Optiv's cybersecurity services and technology solutions. The ideal candidate brings strong business development experience, exceptional communication skills, and a passion for building client relationships in a fast-paced technology environment.

How You'll Make an Impact

  • Partner with sales teams to identify target accounts and align outreach efforts with cybersecurity service and technology priorities.

  • Develop and execute outbound prospecting strategies through phone, email, LinkedIn, and other channels to generate qualified sales opportunities.

  • Research target organizations, industry trends, and client challenges to uncover new business opportunities.

  • Qualify inbound and outbound leads using BANT methodology and advance opportunities through the sales pipeline.

  • Schedule meetings between qualified prospects and sales representatives to accelerate revenue growth.

  • Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to support campaigns, follow up on marketing-qualified leads, and achieve monthly and quarterly pipeline goals.

  • Conduct market and account research using tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Marketo, and Salesforce to identify client needs and engagement opportunities.

  • Maintain accurate lead and activity records within Salesforce, including prospect interactions, qualification details, and recommended next steps.

What We're Looking For

  • 4+ years of B2B business development, lead generation,telesales, or outbound prospecting experience, preferably within technology or cybersecurity industries.

  • Proven success meeting or exceeding sales development, pipeline generation, or lead qualification goals.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear business value.

  • Experience researching and engaging executive-level stakeholders within target accounts.

  • Exceptional relationship-building, organizational, and time-management skills.

  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented professional with strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across sales and marketing teams.

Salary Range Description

$58,000.00 - $73,000.00 Annual

The Hiring Range provided for this role is informed by (but not limited to) various factors including responsibilities of the position, work experience, education/training, internal peer equity, geography, as well as other market influences when extending an offer. The disclosed range has not been adjusted for these factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a variable incentive-based bonus plan. Optiv offers a comprehensive compensation and benefits package, of which salary is a component.
