As the Nonprofit Multichannel Copywriter, you'll play a key role in bringing powerful nonprofit stories to life- creating campaigns that inspire action and drive meaningful impact. You'll concept and write across channels (direct mail, email, and other digital media), transforming audience insights into compelling, high-performing direct response fundraising campaigns. You must be deadline-driven and passionate about marrying great, mission-driven ideas with nonprofit direct response best practices. Your copy will be powerful, motivating, on brand, and move audiences into action. The ideal candidate will have in-house or agency experience as a copywriter, understand how to turn data-driven insights into audience messaging, and write equally powerful copy for both print and digital channels. You will know how to tell a compelling story and position and offer, and enjoy working in a fast-paced creative environment while raising money for great causes.

Your Impact:

  • Create concepts, write direct mail packages and emails, and craft storytelling across channels to generate a desired goal: donations, awareness, engagement, and reactivation.
  • Collaborate with art directors/design partners, Creative Directors, and other agency partners to conceptualize, develop and execute fully integrated, omnichannel direct response campaigns (direct mail, email, newsletters, digital display, social).
  • Work with account team partners to understand and effectively develop creative campaigns that raise money.
  • Review copy developed by other internal and external team members.
  • Stay on top of fundraising copywriting best practices across channels and the industry.
  • Manage and adhere to client brand standards.
  • Be receptive to internal and client feedback.
  • Review campaign results and apply learnings.
  • Supplement writing resources provided with online research and other content.
  • Deliver a quality product in a high-volume, fast-paced agency environment.

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, with 3 or more years of copywriting experience (agency or in-house; nonprofit/fundraising experience a plus).
  • Proficiency in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Samples that show your writing and range.
  • Strong creative vision and copy skills across different channels.
  • Strong ability to translate complex concepts into clear, concise, compelling content.
  • Extreme attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple projects across multiple channels simultaneously while meeting critical deadlines.
  • Deadline-driven where you thrive under pressure, be outgoing and amiable, and work well across teams and departments in a fast-paced environment (some prior project management software experience [Workfront] is a plus).
  • Organized, self-sufficient, and can manage workload and timelines across multiple channels and clients.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
