Key Responsibilities
  • Provide tailored therapy sessions for children, teens, young adults, and their families through virtual platforms, ensuring a safe and supportive space for healing.
  • Conduct regular client assessments, effectively monitoring progress and adjusting treatment plans to meet the changing needs of your clients.
  • Engage collaboratively with a multidisciplinary clinical team, including clinical psychologists, licensed mental health counselors (LMHCs), and licensed clinical social workers (LCSWs), to deliver comprehensive care.
  • Maintain meticulous documentation of client assessments, progress notes, and treatment plans in alignment with organizational policies and procedures to ensure high standards of patient care.
  • Work closely with Emora Health’s clinical leadership to improve and innovate clinical procedures, ensuring an optimal service experience for all client families.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will involve working with a rich tapestry of clients, ranging from children and adolescents experiencing anxiety and depression to young adults dealing with life transitions and substance use challenges. Your expertise will be crucial in creating individualized treatment strategies that help clients overcome obstacles, recover from trauma, and foster resilience.

Qualifications
  • Must hold a current Maryland state license to practice independently as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).
  • A minimum of a master's degree in Counseling or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
  • Possess at least 2 years of post-licensure therapy experience, demonstrating competence in treating a variety of mental health conditions.
  • An active, unrestricted Maryland state license is required; candidates must complete Basic Cardiac Life Support certification within 30 days of employment.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in telehealth or remote counseling practices is preferred, providing familiarity with online therapeutic tools and methodologies.
  • Familiarity with trauma-informed care principles and techniques such as EMDR, DBT, and CBT is highly desirable.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills with a proven track record of successful collaboration in a clinical setting.
