We're thrilled to welcome a California-based Senior Cost Estimator to join our team in San Diego, CA! Responsibilities:

  • Create estimates, studies, analyses, and evaluations at all levels of project development.
  • Provide conceptual-level estimates, detailed quantity take-off, change order reviews/reconciliations, and value engineering solutions as necessary
  • Provide a detailed review of all documentation and develop comprehensive cost estimates/models that communicate the client's project and strategic goalsย 
  • Ensure a quality product is presented to the client by adhering to QA/QC proceduresย 
  • Communicate effectively through clear and concise means appropriate to the project goalsย 
  • Actively research, solicit, and develop sources/vendors for compiling and maintaining the accuracy of cost information
  • Support business development efforts by developing, promoting, and maintaining client relationships by creating cost exhibits for proposals, meetings, presentations, etc.ย 

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 7 years as a cost estimating professional, preferably as a consultant, to include, but not limited to, client interfacing engagement, conceptual estimating, take-offs, change order review/reconciliation, value engineering solutions, etc.ย 
  • Ability to understand and accurately interpret construction documents (drawings, specifications).
  • Proficient user of On-Screen Takeoff (OST) software or similar quantity takeoff software preferred.
  • Ability to work independently
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • A bachelor's degree in construction, engineering, or architecture is preferred.
