Adjunct - Nursing Leadership and Interprofessional Collaboration - Online (Remote) - College of Nursing and Health Care Professions
Are you passionate about shaping future health care leaders and helping students discover their purpose? The College of Nursing and Health Care Professions at GCU is seeking knowledgeable, mission-driven Adjunct Faculty to teach Nursing Leadership and Interprofessional Collaboration online.
This course is an introduction to the Core Competencies for Professional Nursing Education, the role of the professional nurse, and the importance of effective nursing leadership. Standards of practice, differentiated nursing practice, professional accountability, interprofessional collaboration, and quality improvement are emphasized with importance placed on the application of leadership styles and management skills.
What You Will Do
  • Deliver engaging, high-quality instruction using innovative teaching methods and current industry technologies
  • Maintain compliance with accreditation standards
  • Model the holistic tenets of the nursing profession and uphold the University's mission and pillars
  • Facilitate meaningful classroom discussions, assess student learning, and prepare students for leadership roles in health care
  • Support program initiatives and demonstrate alignment with the philosophy and direction of the University
  • Provide a positive example by supporting GCU's Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement, and Mission

What You Will Bring
  • A Master's degree (or higher) in Nursing or a Bachelor's in Nursing with a graduate degree in a relevant health care discipline. Graduate degree must be from an accredited university.
  • Relevant work experience in nursing leadership or nursing management preferred.
  • Must have an active, current, unencumbered RN license with three (3) or more years of direct patient care nursing experience.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build supportive relationships with students
  • Proficiency in English, grammar, and APA writing
  • Commitment to modeling GCU's mission and values
