The Core For Relationship Healing is seeking a passionate and dedicated Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join our dynamic team in a full-time capacity. This role offers the flexibility of a remote work setting, whilst playing a vital role in facilitating the mental, emotional, and social wellness of our diverse patient population. You will be tasked with delivering innovative therapeutic interventions and collaborating closely with our primary care team, ensuring the highest quality of care.

Located in Arlington, Texas, The Core For Relationship Healing is a multifaceted clinic that provides comprehensive health services, including obstetrics, pediatrics, general medicine, family planning, and dentistry. Although your work is conducted online, you will be an integral part of an outpatient office environment, collaborating with a supportive team of healthcare professionals committed to mental health advocacy.

• Collaborate with primary care providers to identify, treat, and manage mental health and psychosocial concerns, ensuring a holistic approach to patient care.
• Conduct thorough patient intakes, including diagnostic and functional evaluations, to formulate effective treatment plans and make informed recommendations to primary care providers.
• Deliver brief, focused mental health interventions for patients, employing evidence-based therapeutic techniques to address their needs.
• Advise primary care providers on the appropriateness of mental health referrals, ensuring patients receive optimal care based on their needs.
• Initiate regular follow-up communication with patients to track progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
• Develop relapse prevention strategies in collaboration with patients to maintain stable functioning and enhance overall well-being.
• Identify 'at-risk' patients and collaborate on strategies to prevent deterioration of their mental health.
• Coordinate and monitor the delivery of behavioral health services, facilitating connections between patients and other healthcare providers as required.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation of patient progress, diagnostic information, and treatment plans in compliance with agency guidelines.
• Educate patients on self-management techniques and provide resources to empower them in their recovery journey.
• Contribute to team discussions about program evaluation and improvement of behavioral health services offered.
• Support patients in adhering to medical treatments initiated by primary care providers, including managing side effects effectively.
• Adhere to the Professional Code of Ethics and conduct to maintain the highest standards of care and professionalism.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by clinic management to align with the organization's goals.

The LPC will serve a diverse client base, including individuals from varying backgrounds and ages seeking mental health support. Special attention is required for those facing challenges related to life transitions, relational issues, anxiety, depression, and other mental health conditions. Successful counselors at The Core For Relationship Healing demonstrate empathy, cultural competence, and a commitment to improving patient outcomes.

• A Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling is required.
• Possession of a valid LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) license in Texas.
• Strong foundation in mental health assessments, treatment planning methodologies, and therapeutic techniques.
• Familiarity with DSM-IV diagnoses and the principles of behavioral therapy.
• Proficiency with community resources available to support client needs.
• Ability to develop effective, therapeutic relationships with patients and maintain clear communication with the healthcare team.
• Thorough understanding of the social and emotional implications of mental health issues.
• Strong record-keeping skills and the capacity to prepare comprehensive reports on patient care.

• Bi-lingual proficiency in English and Spanish is highly preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience with various therapeutic modalities and an understanding of psychodiagnostic techniques.
• Proven ability to work within an interdisciplinary team framework.
