Job description

Development Coordinator
Location: Oklahoma City, OK (On-Site)
Employment Status: Full-Time
Reports To: Director of Development, Growth amp; Analytics
FLSA Status: Exempt
Salary: $43,000 – $55,000 annually (commensurate with experience and adjusted for market location)

POSITION SUMMARY
The Development Coordinator plays a critical behind-the-scenes role in advancing fundraising and donor engagement efforts. This position provides essential administrative, operational, and coordination support in direct response and planned giving efforts, and in close collaboration with the Development Leadership Team—ensuring campaigns, donor communications, and internal workflows are executed with excellence and precision.
This role will support both direct response initiatives and planned giving initiatives, working closely with internal leaders and external partners. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, collaborative, and partially remote environment.

DUTIES amp; RESPONSIBILITIES
Administrative amp; Operational Support
  • Manage calendars, scheduling, and logistics for development leadership
  • Coordinate internal meetings, agendas, and follow-ups
  • Support projects across fundraising initiatives and campaigns
  • Maintain organized records, files, and documentation
  • Assist with inventory management and organization
Campaign amp; Development Support
  • Direct support to the management and execution of direct response fundraising campaigns
  • Direct support of planned giving initiatives, including an endowment campaign
  • Help track timelines, deliverables, and vendor outputs
  • Coordinate with external vendors, agencies, and partners
Donor amp; CRM Support
  • Enter and maintain accurate donor data in CRM (Salesforce preferred)
  • Experience with donor research and analytics is a plus
  • Support donor stewardship efforts, including but not limited to: thank-you calls and acknowledgments and handwritten notes

Coordination amp; Communication
  • Ensure clear communication across in-office and remote teams
  • Adhere to and streamline processes and improve operational efficiency

QUALIFICATIONS amp; REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge
Required
  • 1–3+ years of nonprofit or related administrative experience
  • Strong organizational and project management skills
  • Experience in nonprofit fundraising or development operations
  • Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM systems
  • High attention to detail and accuracy (especially with data entry and expressions of donor gratitude)S
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Comfortable working in an office with hybrid/remote team collaboration and under remote supervision
Preferred
  • Experience with project management tools (Wrike preferred, Asana, Monday.com, etc.)
  • Experience supporting direct response campaigns
  • General knowledge and understanding of planned giving and non-cash giving options
  • Strong interpersonal skills and comfort engaging with donors (including phone calls)
  • Clear, professional handwriting for donor communications
  • As required, inclusion in official or incidental photographs and videos for MOTB and/or guests.
