BigID Consultant / Data Privacy Engineer — Contract

Contract engagement · Remote (must work US Pacific / PST hours) · Work authorization: USC or Green Card preferred

We are seeking a hands-on BigID Consultant to deliver data privacy, discovery, classification, and remediation across enterprise environments, with deep experience in the BigID Privacy Portal and BigID Core. You will work directly with client stakeholders to turn business objectives into technical scanning and remediation requirements.

Primary Skills

  • BigID remediation, data privacy and compliance expertise (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, etc.)
  • Work closely with client stakeholders to determine technical requirements for specific business objectives.
  • Configure data sources for scanning, define policies, create scanning profiles, schedule scans, create DSAR and data retention workflows.
  • Analyze upstream/downstream dependencies; identify the presence of PI data and its source.
  • End-to-end analysis of all tables in a database to identify sensitive information (PII/PHI/PCI) using various tools & techniques.
  • Experience with the Privacy Portal App and integrations essential for DSAR implementation.
  • Address remediation steps for audit findings, MAP items, and user access reviews.
  • Integrate the BigID solution with external applications such as Collibra, Experian, etc.

Secondary Skills

  • Experience with other apps (PIA, RoPA, etc.) within BigID preferred.
  • Docker + Kubernetes preferred.
  • Cloud experience (AWS) preferred.
  • Engage with multi-discipline internal and client teams for smooth rollout and integration of BigID solutions.
  • Upgrade BigID versions and configurations.
  • Experience handling vulnerabilities.

Hands-on experience expected

BigID Privacy Portal: Access / Delete / Correction workflows and stage notifications; BigID Core ↔ Privacy Portal connection and BigID Me Agent; MEA Roles → Privacy Portal Permissions → Permission Groups; consumer & employee intake forms; Privacy Portal ↔ Core profile mapping; adding new systems (consumer/employee); Experian, MyAccount, SAP, and Entra ID SSO integrations.

BigID Core (product topics): Core-to-Privacy-Portal connectivity; individual rights scans; manual scans; correlation sets and customer/employee enrichment; Privacy Report Templates; data mapping by profile type (friendly names, masking/exclusion); MEA Roles → Core roles; scan profiles for individual rights; configuring/updating data sources; data discovery and data-map compilation; Core–Entra ID SSO; DSAR data validations post upgrade/maintenance.
